Chapter 7: Baiyang is Cupid

HONESTLY, all this time Wu Yaoguang doesn't really know if she likes any of the guys romantically. Wu Yaoguang sits at the entrance of the school. It is early in the morning and she waits for Qi Ying and Peng Xia to arrive. She prays they arrive before Dachi. She really needs to get some friends her own age.

Wu Yaoguang sighs as she thinks to herself:

Ughthoerjgfzshg! I am so tired of pretending to be Dachi's girlfriend. It gives me so much anxiety. I mean, we're friends! Lately, I've been feeling like that is not the case. Dachi is just a bit too charming, a bit too sweet. He IS very good looking though. IHRWIOFHODJE! How can I think of a friend like this?!?! He's just being nice~! Right? Dachi doesn't like me does he? What about Ji Jingwu?!

Wu Yaoguang slaps both hands onto either side of her face. She thinks about Ji Jingwu, who is her future husband:

That Ji Jingwu! He thinks he's so charming. He is ALSO very good looking though. UGH~! I don't want to marry~! Still, even though we might never be romantically involved, at least he tries to be interested for my sake. He can be quite attractive. What if later in our lives he wants a second wife or a mistress?!?!

Wu Yaoguang feels a jealous pang in her heart:

No! He cannot! I won't let him!..........I don't want to see him with any other girl? No, it's for our parent's image, I can't possibly like Ji Jingwu. He's helping me and himself. Ugh! Just go sit in class, girl, you have a quiz tomorrow.

Wu Yaoguang walks into the school after standing around silently and emoting to herself. Even the squirrel nearby could tell she was having and internal monologue.

Honestly, how has Wu Yaoguang not have a crush on any of the handsome guys, yet? It's not like she's NOT getting exposure to them. Perhaps, there needs to be more sweetness.

At lunch, the tennis team eats together. All except Lu Xia. He knows where he is. Mu Siyang is absent as he is at a doctor appointment. There is an empty chair besides Dachi. Everyone eats quietly. No one really know if they should bring up why Yaoguang is not having lunch with them.

Dachi doesn't bring it up either. He brings his soup as Jiale and Qiao Chen makes eye contact. They send messages with their eyebrows waving around. Zhou Zhi stuffs a meatloaf into his mouth.

Dachi finally says something: Zhou Zhi, here, have my meatloaf. I won't eat it.

He gently places it on Zhou Zhi's plate. Zhou Zhi thanks him.

Jiale: Okay, where is Yaoguang? We haven't been able to have lunch without for weeks and today she's gone and we're just not gonna take this opportunity to talk about Dachi and Yaoguang?

Zhou Zhi: Where is Wu Yaoguang?

Dachi: She is studying in the classroom. She says for me to not worry and have lunch here.

Qiao Chen opens his phone and turns it to everyone: A new post. "Chi Dayong walks alone in the halls for lunch? Where is his Niangzi? Is there trouble in paradise?"

Huang Jing chimes in: Is there nothing else going on in this school? This topic should've died down long ago.

Yan Zhiming shifts his glasses: It has. (everyone turns their heads to face him) I've been following the posts and lately, all the caption has a negative connotation. The poster does not like Wu Yaogaung and is just purely getting their anger out.

Zhou Zhi: You mean it's time to break up the fake relationship?

Jiale: No way. Dachi~ You need to tell Wu Yaoguang your feeling. What if she likes you back?
