Narrator POV
We find Tony, Bruce & Jacob in the lab.
They already have the computer looking for the Tesseract. It's just a matter of time.
Tony is with Bruce talking while near the table, while Jacob helps Tony hack into SHIELD.
Footsteps can be heard getting closer.
Tony walks towards the monitor & takes over for Jacob, who walks away.
An angry looking Fury walks in.
"What are you doing Mr. Stark?"
Uhh, I've kinda been wondering the same thing."
"You're supposed to be looking for the Tesseract?"
"We are, we have the mode locked. When it finds it, you'll have it within a half mile radius". Says Jacob
"Then you get your cube back, no muss, no fuss."
Tony turns the monitor, as it reveals blue prints for something.
"What is Phase 2?"
Jacob & Bruce look at the monitor & see blueprints for missiles.
Jacob knew why Fury wanted the Tesseract back so bad now.
"Seriously?"
Jacob says to Fury, but a noise interrupts them.
"Phase 2 is SHIELD creates weapons powered by the Tesseract. Sorry, the computer was going to slow for me."
Jacob notices Natasha & Thor come in. He see's Natasha glaring at Bruce.
Bruce looks at Natasha.
"Did you know about this?"
"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?"
"I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed."
"Loki's manipulating you."
"And you've been doing what exactly?"
"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."
"And I'm not leaving because you suddenly get a little twitchy. I wanna know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to create weapons of mass destruction?"
"That makes two of us Fury."
Fury looks at Thor.
"Ask him."
Thor looks confused, as does Jacob, Tony, Bruce & Steve.
Fury goes on to explain Thor & his fight in a small town in New Mexico, and explains there are things that are coming to Earth, that can't be controlled.
"Like you controlled the Cube?"
"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is a signal that Earth is ready for a higher form of war."
"A higher form?"
"You forced our hand. We had to come up woth something."
Fury & Steve complain about Dad & how he made his fortune making the same thing, after Dad made a comment.
"Ok, enough. Yes, Dad made weapons like this, but they weren't powered by the Tesseract. You'll be making far more dangerous weapons than Dad ever did Fury."
"Like I said, we had to come up woth something."
"I though you humans were more evolved than this?"
"Excuse me, do we go to your anet and blow stuff up?"
"If SHIELD could travel space, I'm pretty sure they would."
Jacob now regrets joining SHIELD.
"Do you always give your champions such mistrust?"
"Are you guys really that Naive? SHIELD monitors potential threats."
Jacob POV
Dad & Steve go at it again.
They talk each other down.
Steve says Dad isn't a hero, while Dad calls him a lab experiment.
"Yeah. This is a team."
"Agent Romanoff, would you escort Banner to his..."
"Where? You rented my room."
"The cell was just-"
"In case you needed to kill me, but you can't, I've tried."
We all look at him. Some of us in shock.
"I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out. So I moved on, I focused on helping people. I was good until you dragged back into this freak show & put everyone at risk."
I look away. I feel bad for him.
"You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know gow I stay so calm."
I then see Bruce go for the Scepter while talking to Natasha.
Fury & Nat go for their guns.
"Banner, put doen the Scepter."
Bruce looks surprised he even has it in his hands.
A noise goes off. I know the model found the Tesseract.
"Sorry kids, looks like you don't get to see my party trick."
Bruce walks away, while Nat follows him. I go behind them as Steve stops Dad from joining us.
"The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it". Says Thor.
"You can have it." I say
While Dad & Steve continue to argue, they're soon interrupted, as an explosion goes off.
I see Nat & Banner fall into the lower equipment room, while I fall towards Dad & Steve.
We get up and leave the Lab.
