"This was 100% needed; I don't think I have ever needed to be wasted in a club more than I do right now," I said as Liliane smiled as she ordered us a bunch of shots to take off the dome.
We made our way to a booth in the club and waited on our shots as we sipped our drinks.
"So how are you feeling about the whole Travis thing? Anything new?" Lilliane asked as I rolled my eyes, sipping on my drinks.
"I went to his turn on the stand today; that's why I was late, and then I bumped into his sister, and she gave me the speech and talk I needed—not that you didn't, but she really opened my eyes a bit more, like doing my own article on the trial and letting Travis have his moment," I explained as Lilliane nodded, sipping on her drink with interest in her eyes.
"I mean, men can be bitches sometimes; they gotta cry a little on their own, and then they'll come back when they are done. Now that that is over, let's party!" Lilliane said as the waiter with the shots came walking along to our table.
"Bottoms up," I said as the waiter placed the shots on the table and walked away as we took hold of the first shot and threw it back, followed by the other three we had each.

A few more shots, a sticky dance floor, and a few more double vodka's, and Liliane and I were feeling ourselves. We were hanging off of each other, giggling on the dance floor, swaying side to side, screaming lyrics into each other's faces, and just having the time of our lives.
"We so deserved this!" I screamed into her ear as she laughed and pulled me closer, still swaying us to the music.
"I love you! With my whole heart! You are my best friend, and even though you are annoying as a roommate, you are the love of my life platonically," she said as she squeezed me into a hug, and I took in her sweet vanilla scent with a smile.
We both stumbled over to get another drink and were waited on right away. The night couldn't go any better for us, two pretty best friends...
Now utterly wiped out.
"My feet hurt," Lilliane moaned out as we were standing outside waiting for our Uber. She was currently about to sit on the floor, taking off her heels.
"Lilliane, get up. I am just waiting for the driver to confirm. You can't stand for another 10 minutes." She looked at me deadpan while on the floor and shook her head like a little child having a tantrum.
10 minutes turned to 20 minutes, 30 minutes turned to an hour, and we were still outside the nightclub getting sober. I looked down, and for the 10th time, Uber cancelled.
"Urgh! The Uber was cancelled again! Lili, we may have to walk a little now; it's getting late," I said as she groaned and stood up.
"Can you not text or call Travis? He has a car, plus he lives literally in our complex," she slurred as I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Yeah, no, let's walk," I said as Lilliane groaned and threw her hands in the air. "Help me up," she added as I turned around, and as I was about to reach for her arms, she snatched my phone out of my hand.
"Hey, give it back," I said as I heard dialling and then a connection.
"Hey! Travis, it's Lilliane; we are outside Hot Stuff and can't get home as Uber's are cancelling on us, and we've been here for an." Lilliane slurred into the phone as I frowned at her. I couldn't hear anything on the other side.
