The rain poured down on the New York skyline, drenching the ant like people down below. Y/n Venkman leaned on the railing and watched the people scurry into buildings. The rainy air sweet to her lungs. Her brother Peter and her best friend Ray were dashing around their front door making sure the car and new signs get into the garage before the fresh paint gets ruined. "You know if your wet and cold or a prolonged amount of time, it will poorly effect your immune system. giving you cold systems." Egon mused fixing his glasses, tightening his lab coat around him.

She smiled to herself, turning to him, "I'll be okay. I'll be in soon." He nodded not quite convinced, "I know you. I know when you say that you mean you will be out here for another hour or even two." He took a step closer and wrapped his arms around her, "like I said soon." He sighed and walked her back to the door.

"What are the others doing?" she asked as the door closed behind them. "Their fighting over what we should get for dinner. don't worry I already told them you want Chinese." They walk down the stairs, Egon letting her go as they were about to walk into the kitchen. He wasn't big on PDA, thinking it was more special between two people and only two people.

"Y/n, Spengs! We decided with pizza." Ray called already reaching for the phone, Natalie slightly disappointed nodded with a smile. Egon sensing her disappointment leans down "Don't worry, I'll take you for Chinese tonight." He whispered in her ear, Peter turned to Ray and faked gagged at the two. "Really that sounds really nice." She murmured and nodded satisfied with himself.

"Gross, you know what ray and I will have pizza together. Won't we Stanz?" Peter asks in mock offense, "Sure Venkmen, we'll let the love birds have their little date." Egons ears turned pink as he turned away as Y/n mouthed 'stop.' The two boys just laughed as they ordered their pizza, "Hey, I'm really excited for our date tonight." She whispered to Egon, and he smiled sheepishly, "as am I." He turned a glance at his friends who were pretending not to look, and he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

Egon gazed at her in candle lit lighting. "You look lovely." He murmured; he didn't even mean to say it just popped out. Even after four years of dating each other, he still has the ability to catch her off guard with his sweet compliments. "You know I don't deserve you." She murmured, taking a sip of her drink. He scoffed, "You have no idea, do you?" She shook her head, "You make life so much easier. You are the one person who I need more than anybody." He reached his hand out and held her hand. "I adore you." She could feel her heart melting,

"How did I ever find you. I love you Egon Spengler." She murmured, more to herself than to him. "I love you more." He replied before going back to his dinner.
