Opening their eyes, Frisk finds themselves on the ground. Something soft broke their fall. They look around to see flowers, golden flowers. They know they messed up.

Getting up, they start walking towards the gray entrance. Upon crossing it, they're met with a strange flower.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower!" It introduces itself.

"... But you already knew that. Didn't you?"

Frisk is pretty shocked. That was supposed to be a True Reset. Flowey can't have remembered.

"Golly. Look what you did. Everything is back to what it was, and it's all your fault. You wanted your happy ending and yet, you failed." The flower mocks them.

Frisk throws their stick at Flowey, but he simply dodges.

"Now, now. Wouldn't want Mama Toriel to see you attacking monsters, do ya ?"

"Just get out." Frisk exclaims.

They both fall quiet.

"... What ?" Flowey says.

He stays quiet for some more time, before asking :

"Since when do... You speak?"

"I don't know. That never happened before."

"Hold on... Is Chara here?"

Frisk looks around them... But the spirit is nowhere to be seen or heard. Now that they think about it. No one has been narrating for a moment...

I'm my own narrator.

"They left. I'm in control now!"

"Calm down now, just because you're suddenly capable of speech and free thinking doesn't mean you can control this world. Remember that I am here." Flowey says to me.

"Nuh uh, I'm the one who reached all endings. Not you"

"The heck you mean Nuh uh? I'm the god of this world!"

A fireball makes the pesky flower fly off into the distance.

"My my... What a terrible creature. Torturing such a young child." Toriel says as she appears from the shadows.

"Oh, hi!" I say to her.

"Oh... You're..."

She stays quiet for a moment.

"Since when could you speak?"

"Can't humans speak now?" I ask, utterly confused.

"I just didn't think you could. And so casually to me."

"I'm a child, not a baby."

"Ah yes. Excuse me. I am Toriel, caretaker of the Ruins. I honestly didn't expect to see another... Nevermind. Come along, child, you have a lot to discover."

Her words stick with me. Another what?

"In the Ruins, you will encounter a lot of puzzles and-"

"Yeah yeah, I know how to deal with them."

I step on the four plates that she always does...

Nothing happens.

"Well, seems that you forgot one thing." She tells me as she turns around and flip a switch.

"Oh. A lever."

"Yes. Now follow me."

I follow along. Flipping the same two switches as I always did. And now, the dummy. The real test on whether I'll go along and be nice, or just go and murder them all.
