CHAPTER 14

As the web of deceit woven by Seo In Soo over the years begins to unravel, she sits alone in the dim light of her luxurious yet soulless room, contemplating the empire of lies she has built. Seo In Soo: (muttering to herself with a cold determination) "I've come too far to let everything crumble now. The truth... it will never see the light of day."

Her words are a silent vow, a promise to protect her secrets and maintain her power at any cost.

Meanwhile, Kim Joon Ho, driven by a need for justice and the unraveling mystery of his own past, seeks out Jung Ki Tae's parents. He believes they hold the key to understanding the complex relationship between his family and the machinations of SJ Corporation.

Kim Joon Ho stands at the doorstep of a modest house, the home of Jung Ki Tae's parents. The door opens to reveal an elderly couple, their faces etched with the lines of hard-earned wisdom.

Kim Joon Ho: "Mr. and Mrs. Jung, thank you for agreeing to meet with me. I have questions about my parents and their connection to Jae Hyun and Seo In Soo."

The couple exchanges a glance, a silent communication borne of years together, before inviting Joon Ho inside.

Mr. Jung: (with a sigh) "We wondered when the past would catch up. Your parents... they were more than just assistant secretaries to Jae Hyun. They were his confidants, his friends."

Mrs. Jung: "And they were close to Seo In Soo too, before everything... changed."

Joon Ho listens intently, his heart heavy with the weight of revelations yet to come.

Kim Joon Ho: "What exactly happened? How were my parents involved in all this?"

Mrs. Jung: "They were torn. They wanted to do the right thing but knew the consequences could be dire. In the end, their loyalty to Jae Hyun and their friendship with In Soo put them in an impossible position."

Kim Joon Ho's mind races as he processes their words, the pieces of the puzzle slowly coming together, yet each revelation only leading to more questions.

Kim Joon Ho: "Did my parents try to stop what was happening? Did they confront Jae Hyun or In Soo?"

Mr. Jung: "They tried to handle it discreetly, to protect everyone involved. But secrets have a way of festering, of causing more harm the longer they're kept."

Ki Tae's parents exchange uneasy glances before revealing the long-hidden truth. With a heavy sigh, Ki Tae's mother begins, her voice trembling with emotion.

Ki Tae's Mother: "On that fateful day, when both Seo In Soo and Jae Hyun's wife were in labor, there was chaos in the hospital. Seo In Soo's cunning plan was already in motion. She knew she could exploit the situation to her advantage."

Ki Tae's Father interjects, his voice laced with bitterness.

Ki Tae's Father: "Seo In Soo was relentless in her pursuit of wealth and power. She switched the newborn babies, believing it would secure her future with Jae Hyun."
