The dimly lit corner of Junyeong High School's abandoned courtyard serves as the clandestine meeting spot for Sang Hwan, Do Jin, Sang Mi, Ga Young, and Kyung Se Joo. The air is thick with tension and unspoken fear as they huddle together, discussing the tragic fate that befell Yeji.
Sang Mi: (voice barely above a whisper) "I still can't believe Yeji's gone... Did we... did we push her to it?"
Ga Young, maintaining her facade of concern, nods solemnly, her eyes darting around the group
Ga Young: "This is a tragedy. We all need to reflect on our actions. Yeji didn't deserve this."
Do Jin, his expression grim, watches each of them closely, his suspicions quietly mounting.
Do Jin: "There's more to this than just regret. We all know it. Yeji was stronger than you think."
Sang Hwan shifts uncomfortably, his demeanor betraying a nervousness that catches Do Jin's attention.
Do Jin: (noticing Sang Hwan) "Sang Hwan, you've been quiet. Something on your mind?"
Sang Hwan, caught off guard, quickly deflects.
Sang Hwan: "No, nothing. Just... thinking about everything. It's a lot, you know?"His response, evasive and hurried, only fuels Do Jin's growing suspicions. Without another word, Sang Hwan abruptly leaves the group.
Do Jin: (to himself) "Something's not right."
Intrigued and concerned by Sang Hwan's behavior, Do Jin decides to follow him, keeping a safe distance to remain unseen. The shadows of the evening cloak his movements.
Do Jin watches as Sang Hwan makes his way to the back of the school, checking over his shoulder as if to ensure he's not being followed. Reaching a secluded spot, Sang Hwan takes out his phone, his actions hurried.
Do Jin: (whispering to himself) "Who is he talking to? And why all the secrecy?"
Sang Hwan: (whispering urgently into the phone) "I did it. I only killed Yeji. No one else knows."
Do Jin's blood runs cold as he hears Sang Hwan's chilling confession. Rage boils within him, propelling him forward.
Do Jin: (voice shaking with anger) "You... you killed her? Why, Sang Hwan? Why would you do such a thing?"
Sang Hwan whirls around, shock and fear flashing across his face as he sees Do Jin standing before him, fury etched into every line of his body.
Sang Hwan: (stammering, attempting to regain composure) "Do Jin, you don't understand... I didn't mean to... I..."
But before Sang Hwan can finish his sentence, Do Jin lunges forward, his fists flying in a whirlwind of rage. The two boys grapple with each other, their struggle echoing through the silent night.
Do Jin: (voice raw with emotion) "You killed her! You took her from us, from me!"
Sang Hwan fights back, desperation and panic driving his movements.
Sang Hwan: (pleading) "Stop, Do Jin! You're wrong! I didn't do it, I swear!"
Their battle rages on, the echoes of their confrontation reverberating off the empty walls of the school. Finally, as exhaustion sets in, they come to a standstill.
Sang Hwan: (voice shaking) "I didn't kill her, Do Jin. I swear, I didn't."
Do Jin, panting heavily, stares at Sang Hwan, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. The truth hangs heavy in the air, elusive and taunting.
