Hanako Norene's Past

Chapter Six

Before I get to writing this one, I would like to say, I am sorry that this chapter is really short. While I was writing it, I got a major writers block and really couldn't think of anything else to add to make it better and longer than the original chapter six. So if you would like to skip this chapter, feel free. It's only Hanako and Lone's small little meeting :T

The introductions took all morning, which was really difficult on my legs, since I had never really been good with standing for long periods of time. During that long frame of time, I learned 2 new insults - "Shitbird" and "Fucknugget". In my opinion, these seemed completely irrelevant to me, so I didn't really take them into offense. Later on during the introductions, I found out that the man with shades to my left was actually Lone Soviet. In my mind, I had questioned why the bloody hell someone would give him that name, and I kinda refused to believe it was his actual name. But it sounded a little bad ass, so I just went with it. I don't want to offend anyone, after all. It's just an... unique name. I decided to see how many of the cadets I could remember, so I wouldn't walk up to one and be like 'Hey...' Then tons of awkward silence. Alux.. He's that dude that just wouldn't stop talking at the introductions... Lily, she seems nice I guess. But every time I look away then look back at her, she always has a new piece of food. It could go from a cookie to a sandwich or a sandwich to a cookie. I was only questioning how the hell she managed to get all that food here. Lone is that man that wears shades. He seems cool I guess.. I don't get why he wears those shades all the time though, it seems so out of place with the current weather!  I  just stood there staring at the ground, lost on what cadet to think of next.  Uh.... the others were just people who wanted some adventure. Yeah... yeah go with that. I smirked triumphantly at this thought before raising my head up to see Lone and the captain arguing about how flirtatious Lone had been. The captain was assuming it was because he wanted to be on "good" terms with her so he could get a higher ranking.

I cupped a hand over my mouth, ready to laugh when I saw the events take a completely different turn. I saw the captain grab Lone's ear and drag him to the edge of the wall, ready to shove him off. I didn't hesitate for a moment and I jumped forward, shoving the captain aside. I extended my arm forward and grabbed his jacket, yanking him back up onto the wall. As the other cadets stared in shock, I turned towards Lone and looked up at him, speaking quietly. "You alright there?" I tilted my head in curiosity as my bronze eyes analyzed him, seeing if he had any visible wounds. "I'm alright, thanks..." He turned his head and looked over at the woman. "Can't the woman handle a compliment?" He asked himself quietly before looking back towards me. "Thanks again.." I found it a little amusing and kind of adorable how he kept thanking me even though he already had. "You're welcome, Lone." There was a moment of silence before I sighed and continued speaking. "I just can't stand humans going against one another violently. It just seems so pointless and inhumane in my eyes. It doesn't accomplish anything in the end.." Quickly realizing how awkward the conversation was getting, I placed a fist over my heart and an arm behind my back, looking up at Lone. "By the way, I am Hanako Norene. In case you didn't hear while you were flirting with the captain, or obsessing over vinegar..." I grinned as I spoke, my bronze eyes meeting his.

Lone put his hands up in the air, trying to appear as innocent as possible. Which I found amusing, taking his somewhat menacing appearance into account. . "Hey! I know for a damn fact the food we will be served here will be almost as bad as my dad's cooking! The vinegar just adds a little bit of flavor to it. Although the food will still be almost as bad as my dad's cooking... almost."  Listening to him ramble was a little nice and kind of adorable. Looking up at him, she laughed a little bit before speaking. "My dad was a decent cook. But we have different families." I felt like Lone and I would become great friends. I heard the captain start announcing that the introductions were all that was going to be done today, and that we needed to follow our instructors so our cabins could be assigned. "Well, guess we got to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow, Lone." I turned and walked away from him, breaking into a small jog to catch up to the other girls.
