SELENE STOOD on the hill, worry clouding her features as she fidgeted with her hands. "come on, cece." lorene called out, coming into view. "you have to keep up, we're almost there."
lori told, her hand fell on selene's shoulder who kept gazing off in a distance. "i.. i don't have a good feeling about this, lori." selene admitted, turning her body to face her.
lorene frowned at the younger girl. "hey, what did we talk about?" lorene asked, both hands now on selene's small shoulders.
"that we'll be safer at camp from any monsters." selene replied. "that's right. i won't let anything bad happen to you or anyone else for that matter."
lorene told, gesturing her hands around. selene nodded after a short time, walking over to the group with lorene. "ready?"
thalia asked, glancing around amongst the group, who all nodded. "more now than ever." lorene replied, a smile tugging on her lips before they continued in the direction to the camp.
what the group didn't expect was for the wind to pick up, making the trees rustle harshly.
the sky been clear for the most part, not giving off any sign to expect hard wind. the sudden change in the atmosphere, caused them to glance around.
an army of hellhounds and furies appeared infront of them. coming to a halt, the group stood closely to each other, while the hellhounds growled lowly.
thalia and lorene both acting on instinct, took their swords from their side. "run!" thalia shouted, fighting off the hellhound that came forward.
the others took the opportunity running towards camp. grover, selene, luke and annabeth all ran from the commotion as fast as they could, down to the hill of camp.
a hellhound and furie blocked their path, forcing them to split it running in a different direction. grover held onto selene's hand tightly, pulling her along as they ran from the furie chasing behind them.
selene glanced back, seeing that the furie was no longer behind them. she continued running with grover, tripping over a rock, hurting her ankle in the process.
she fell to the ground wincing from the pains, holding onto her bruised ankle. grover ran back towards selene, helping her off the ground, limping as fast as they could.
