Now that all the characters are introduced, let me tell you about my situation.
I... when I say 'I', you should automatically think of it as Trin okay? 'I' I don't exist here.
When the investors told me that they wanted me to create a multiverse for my story, one of the things they demanded was a unique way of marriage. They said that there were way too many traditional marriage scenes and Western-style marriage scenes enacted onscreen already and they wanted something new.
That was how I came up with the idea of the goddess of marriage and the marriage stone. It is not entirely my idea. I am sure that you have already seen this in other genres of dramas. I just introduced it to the BL industry.
The thing is that a couple when getting married should visit the temple of the goddess of marriage and perform certain rituals. I am not going to explain all that here. It would be a waste of time anyway.
But I have to tell you the highlights of the ritual so that you can understand my situation.
Here, every person who is born has a birthstone. No, it's not like the birthstones in our world where we use them as jewelry and stuff.
In this multiverse, the birthstones are unique to every person, just like our fingerprints are. It is considered unique to every individual and is more like proof of their identity.
The significance of the birthstone in a marriage scenario is that when a person gets married, their partner has to put a drop of his/her/their blood on the birthstone at the temple of the goddess of marriage they were getting married. It is a similar process of getting their marriage registered.
Back then, when I came up with this idea, I was so proud of myself. I don't remember the name of the stupid anime I was watching while I came up with the idea.
Yes, I do get new ideas while watching amines or dramas or while reading something. But that doesn't mean I plagiarize alright? I make up my own versions of it.
Now, let me tell you what I did. Last week, the country of Trippaweth, aka the country that is ruled by the Jitmana dynasty (Don't try to google and find the country. I made it up for my multiverse.), won a long-term battle against the neighboring country, Choadan (another completely made-up country) and regained power over the land that was captured by them.
As a part of the celebration of this victory, the emperor had thrown a party for everyone.
When I was in my original body, I was light weight and would get completely drunk with a can of beer alone. But now that I am Trais, and has a much fitter body, my alcohol tolerance had increased, much to delight.
During the party, I had drank a lot and my drinking partner was none other than 'the' crown prince himself. He was as drunk as I was and had started ranting to me on how he was yet to be betrothed and stuff.
My alcohol had been the one in control of my mind and body at that time. The drunk me, took him to the temple of goddess of marriage at midnight. As it was the odd hour, there was not a single living being there.
I showed him how the marriage rituals are done (Typically this is something a priest does. Others are not completely aware of all the rituals. But as someone who created the whole ritual thingy, I know everything).
I even had the crown prince drop his blood in my (Trin's) birthstone and I dropped my blood in his birthstone and according to the marriage laws of Trippaweth nation, we are legally husbands.
Oh, by the way, these birthstones have certain colors and patterns in them. When a couple gets married their birthstones' colors and patterns.
His birthstone was a shade of blue (everyone in the royal family has a shade of blue), much like a deep ocean blue. I think that is what they call it. Mine was shade of white, like a pearl.
After the dropping our bloods on each other's birthstones, the birthstones changed into identical color and pattern with blue as the base color with white polka dots.
I don't know how both of us got back to our respective places. But I woke up in my quarters and he woke up in his room in the palace.
Thankfully, the crown prince didn't have the memories of whom he got married to but remembered getting married. If he remembered that the person he married was me, I would have been in trouble.
I relaxed way too quick after committing such a huge mistake.
The nail in the coffin dropped when the emperor ordered me to track down the crown prince's partner. Me! Out of all people, the emperor had to order me to find myself!
I guess that is also an advantage. I can cover up my tracks without arising suspicion. But that asshole crown prince told me that if I don't find the missing partner in a few days, he will have me executed!
How outrageous!
What am I supposed to do now? Go to him and tell him that I am the person he was searching for? Hell No! I hate that guy's guts. He is so cocky. I don't think that he has any good intentions for finding his partner. Who knows if he will slit my throat if I turn myself in?
It would be much worse if I am asked to live with him as his husband. I would rather kill myself than do that.
In short, my death is confirmed. One way or the other I am going to be killed. RIP to me!
He calls me to his office almost every day to get reports on the progress of the search. That two twice a day. I am starting to get a headache just by seeing his face. He walks into my office as if he owns the place. He does own the place, after all the office was provided by him. Still, that is my office! How can he come and go as he please?
Thanks to my story making skills, I am able to give him some kind of lie as the report.
Maybe, if I manage to escape this 'death sentence', I would write another book, 'The story of my survival under an asshole boss' . What do you think of my title? I can write at least a hundred-chapter worth of things just by the happenings on a daily basis to me.
Last night, the crown prince showed up at my place when I was about to go to be. You have no idea how I managed to kick him out. He is acting as if he is eager to find his partner. But I know he is not. Because he is destined to be with Kiew.
Kiew is the original partner in the storyline by the way. He is yet to show up. There is no way crown prince would end up with someone else. Or did I actually ruin the storyline I created myself?
Argh! This is so frustrating!
