The next day I wake up and see that we're still on the boat, and I immediately start thinking back to yesterday. There was just so much that happened then. So many things I never thought would happen just a few days ago.

Rafe isn't in the bed next to me, so I assume he's already awake. I check the clock and see that it's 10.30. When I head towards the kitchen, I smell fried eggs and bacon, and I find Rafe making breakfast, and I can't help but smile a little.

"Morning," I say, which makes Rafe turn around to look at me.

"Good morning," he says, giving me a small smile.

"You are good at cooking" I say, sitting down at the table while he sets a plate of breakfast in front of me. Even though I'm not a breakfast person, this looks really good. Rafe sits down across from me and eats too. We don't say much. I think we're both quite surprised about what actually happened yesterday. That we randomly spent almost a whole day together and actually enjoyed it. Neither of us expected that.

Rafe quickly finishes his breakfast and then heads to the helm to drive us back to Obx. Thanks to yesterday, I had completely forgotten about my problems for a while, which I'm very grateful for. However, everything starts coming back as we get closer to Obx.

Another thing I can't stop thinking about is that Rafe admitted he likes Lana. I never thought someone like him would. But I guess you learn a lot of new things when you hang out with Rafe in this way. When we get back to the Cameron's dock, we're met by Ward walking along the dock, and he stops when he meets me and Rafe on the dock. He looks at us as if he can't believe his eyes.

"Where have you been?" he asks, mostly looking at his son.

"The mainland," Rafe says shortly before walking past Ward."We need to talk later today," Ward calls after him, but Rafe seems to ignore his dad. Ward turns to me instead.

"I'm glad you two are starting to get along well. It's good progress even if you might still not quite like each other," Ward says, smiling.

"Yeah," I say quickly and give him a smile before I go home.

I would like to see Kiara again, but that means I have to go to the cut, and I'm not sure my family would really like that if they found out. But no one needs to know, so I can just go there in secret. Maybe I can just go to Kiara's house instead.

I go to my house and get my bike that's leaning against the fence and sit on it. I skip the helmet because I hate cycling around with a helmet, and my mom will get mad if she sees me cycling without one but she's not here right now.

It's quite fast to ride to Kiara's, and when I stop outside her house, I get so many memories back. I haven't been here in two years, and I've really missed being here. When I look back on everything, it feels so sad that everything turned out the way it did. Even if I'm not sure I've really forgiven Kiara yet, I still can't say no to being friends with her again.

I'm just about to go up the stairs to the front door when Kiara comes out of the house with quick steps so she almost runs into me but stops and smiles when she sees me.

"Oh! Hi Addie," she says and smiles.

"Hi Kie," I say.

"Where are you going?"

"To the pouges. You're welcome to come if you want," Kiara says. I hesitate a little but still say yes.
I wanted to hang out with Kiara, and then I guess I have to be with the others too. Maybe those guys aren't so bad after all.
