CHAPTER FOUR
The Hub━━━━━━━━━♡━━━━━━━━━
ANDREA WAS EXCITED TO SAY THE LEAST. Over the course of her life, being the deputy director of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s daughter, she'd come to know each base pretty well. She'd seen the Sandbox, the Slingshot, the academies and she'd grown up in the Triskelion alongside her mom and Fury. Her favourite base however? The Hub.
The hub was where all the fun stuff happened. In Andrea's opinion anyway. It was the primary staging grounds and provider of back-end support for ongoing operations. Andrea had visited it many times before and after missions while being apart of NCA. They would breif their missions here and they'd be monitored by the commanding agents incase they needed any extra support.
Andrea had always found the way everyone worked in the Hub fascinating. There was a set order to everything which everyone had grown accustomed to and accepted. It was a symphony of cooperation; each person was needed to create beautiful harmonies of music.
Andrea dryed her damp hair with a blow dryer before pulling on a black tank top and a pair of black jeans. She would've picked out her blue jeans but she didn't want to seem like she was dressing to casual at work.
As she was braiding her hair into a quick side braid, her bunk door slid open. She turned around to see Skye stood in the doorway. "Wanna watch me and Fitz have an arm wrestle?" She asked.
Andrea furrowed her eyebrows with a smile on her face. "Okay?" She laughed while tying off her braid.
The two girls walked out into the lounge, pushing the bunk door close behind them. Skye sat down on one of the seats opposite Fitz and Andrea sat on Skye's arm rest.
The boy and girl locked hands, elbows on the table. Andrea leaned over and held both their hands in place. "Ready?" The two nodded. "Go." The raven haired let go of them.
Just as it was getting good with Skye Fitz reframing himself from Skye's quick push after the word 'go', the doors from the cargo hold opened and Coulson walked through.
Skye and Fitz let go off each other and turned around to face Coulson.
The team had just recovered information from Agent Shaw who was undercover in Siberia which was why they were now making their way to the Hub. Though, the mission was only for clearance level 8s to know, which included herself and Coulson.
"Ah. Good, you're done with that para nasal extraction nonsence." Fitz said as he stood up and walked up to Coulson. "Do you need me to analyse the data?" He asked.
"That won't be necessary." Coulson told the engineer as he walked past.
"If it's encrypted, I can mine the chip for him." Skye offered.
"I'm afraid this mission's classified." Coulson told the team as they stood infront of him. "Clearance Level 8."
"Ah." Simmons nodded and turned around to go back to the lab with Fitz.
Ward and May also turned to leave while Andrea made her way to her bunk.
"Wait, what?" Skye stopped them. "He can just shut us out of the process like that?" She asked.
"Well, he did say the mission is Level 8." Fitz shrugged. "Which is only him and Andrea.
"And we're not." Jemma added. "So we can't know about it."
"Right, but this is normally the part where we all stand around the holocom and we learn about stuff." Skye argued. "I mean, aren't we all on the same team?"
