Will POV
"I'm sorry, but I had to talk to you with no interruptions ." I excused myself, while he just looked at me with, I'm not sure what it was, but it was caring.
"Will, this is serious. When do we have to leave?"
"She just told me that, about now." I had just checked it on 'The Leo Phone' before Nico had come. She did sound desperate in the voice message, but she always sounds as if she was in pain. And then, I quote, she said, 'Come as soon as you can, Will. Your gran just passed away.'
"Where are you going?" Percy asked.
"We just threw you outside, you wild animal! It's private, com' on, move it!" Nico was kicking Percy out of the room.
"Nico, we can tell him, I don't mind."
He raised an eyebrow as if saying, "Are you sure?"
I nodded.
He shrugged an, "Alright."
Percy was looking at us as if demanding an explanation.
"Percy, why are you even here in the first place?" asked Nico.
"Windows and spying on my OTP with Jason, " he responded, "oh, and Piper too."
"Hi" They said nearly in unison (Jason started first and Piper finished last) while they came through the door.
"Will, are you sure you want to tell us what's wrong? We will go if you don't, right boys?"
There was no response from Jason or Percy, but it was me who they were expecting an answer from.
"Um, ok I guess."
"Will, you know you're not going to talk if they're here. Why don't you go just now and later we'll tell you?"
It was true, I wouldn't have talked with any of those three powerful demigods in front of me, but I just couldn't tell them to leave. Luckily, Nico could, so we were left alone soon after.
He checked all the windows, which aren't much in a cabin which could have been made for vampires if you were to see it.
"How long has this been going on?"
"Well, since I was fourteen she kept trying to force me to go back, and she is always telling me that she has a girl ready for me, or that she would love it if I helped her on stage or... You know, I wouldn't go back, at least not for long.
I've got a family, a real one that doesn't ignore you even if you tried to iris message her every week, for months, but she told me she was busy, didn't have time. It felt so bad. And then when I became a 'healer' Apollo demigod, she kept telling me that I would love it there.
I just wanted to feel accepted for so long by her, until her calls were as insignificant as my messages probably were to her. My grandma, however, she is good or was at least. She isn't really my grandma, but she was an old lady that took care of me when I was a baby, and my mother appreciated her, because her parents disowned her for choosing singing.
They had different beliefs, but my real grandparents didn't want her to become a singer. I didn't meet them either. If I go back, I would like to reconcile with her and I feel sad for ignoring her."
That came out too long, and too quick, but Nico understood everything and waited for me to finish.
Most people think that he's scary, but if you get to know him, he's such a sweetheart. And he tries very hard for the people he loves, as in a friend way too.
"Ok, Will, here's what we're going to do. We ask Chiron for permission to go, when he says yes, we pack. We shadow travel there and- Sunshine don't look at me like that. Then we go to the act, stay a few days if we must, and then come back."
"What if Chiron says no?"
"Well then," he explained while standing up, and pulling me. I hadn't even realised we were sat on the floor until then. "You get me like this" he put my hands on his waist. "You look at me in the eyes" he tilted my head down (gods he's short) "and you say 'too bad, we tried but' and then I kiss you and tell you:"
He kissed me when he finished, and I appreciated it.
"Will, nothing is going to happen, Chiron couldn't care less about demigods exiting camp, he literally let the Aphrodites go out to buy make up for a whole week, that was a long shopping spree. And if anything else happens, you tell me and we fix it."
"Okay," I mumbled.
"Look at me Tesoro."
"Okay," I said more confidently this time.
"Now why don't we go to dinner?"
"You're not even going to eat." I stated.
"I will if it makes you feel better."
"Okay, let's go I'm starving."
And so we left, hands being held.
