I wrote this one myself at the thought of my childhood father ever making me go blind.

(Verse 1)
I was a good kid, yet I had flaws.
Everyone does right?
But mine were worse
Worse than normal
But you were there to help
Whenever I needed it.
Even if I was trying to push,
Push everyone away.

(Chorus)
And now I'm blind. I can't see.
Everything around me is dark.
Even you. Yet you still help.
And I feel the guilt rising,
Rising that I know I'll never,
Never get to see you again.
To touch your face. To see,
See your smile.

(Verse 2)
In the silence of the dark, tears stain
I can't see anything, yet I can see your light.
But I can't see your face. Oh how I wish to see your face again.
I wasn't blind forever..father didn't like me.

(Chorus)
And now I'm blind. I can't see.
Everything around me is dark.
Even you. Yet you still help.
And I feel the guilt rising,
Rising that I know I'll never,
Never get to see you again.
To touch your face. To see,
See your smile.

(Bridge)
But now I need to stand tall
So I can see your face again.
To see you smile, to see you laugh.
To see you look me in the eyes and say
"I love you"
I'll get the surgery. I'll get it for you.
So I can see you smile again.

(Verse 3)
Father and I didn't get along
We fought for days. We didn't talk.
Until the last fight caused me blindness.
He didn't apologize. He hated me. I understood.
I was the problem. But he. He understood me. My problems. He had. My abandonment issues. He had.

(Chorus)
And now I'm blind. I can't see.
Everything around me is dark.
Even you. Yet you still help.
And I feel the guilt rising,
Rising that I know I'll never,
Never get to see you again.
To touch your face. To see,
See your smile.

(Outro)
So I'll hold onto,
Hold onto whatever,
Whatever I can to see,
See your smile again.
