"Stop making up your excuses"

"No- I can't- I can't do it- I don't think I can tell her-"
"Dude. Just do it."

"Call her up, tell her you forgot something"

"Uhm.. hey! Are you home right now..? Okay, great. Can I come over? I think I left my...keys! My keys, I left them at your house...can I- yeah? Okay, great! Thanks! Cool!" I stammered into my phone's microphone as my friend watched me, a face expressing nothing but secondhand embarrassment.

"It's worth more than you are thinking"

Little did I know, I wasn't the only one freaking out as I made my way to her. As I came up to the front door, I began to contemplate and mentally plan my each and every move.

"Don't be a fool, tell her you think she's cool"

"Hey," I breathed out as the door opened, "can I come in?"
"Mhm." She nodded.
"You... look nice." I finally pushed out, noticing that she had changed her outfit since I had last seen her mere hours ago.
"Ah- thanks." She smiled and stepped aside to allow me in.

"Stop waiting for a fairytale to take you away, don't wait for someday"

When I walked into her room, I noticed a shelf of storybooks.
"Huh, cute," I nodded at her, "you like fairytales?"
"I did. I was obsessed with the idea of my own Prince Charming." She shared with me.
"He'll come for you, someday."

"She's thinking the same thing as you"

"You think so?" She eyed me with a glint in her eyes that I could never quite comprehend.
"Yeah, I know so."

"Don't be afraid, dreams aren't found, they're made"

"When I was young, I dreamed of being a fashion designer." She continued to show me glimpses of her own world.
"I think you can achieve anything you've ever dreamed of." I commented, not wanting her to ever give up on her dreams.

"Cause you've only got one chance, you've only got one chance"

"Uhm.. I have something to tell you.." I began and looked up from her childhood designs to her eyes.
"Yes..?" She looked up into my own eyes, and for the first time, I could recognise the feeling behind her eyes – anticipation.
I couldn't think. My mind was in a complete haze. I hadn't planned this move. Like a chess piece in the 'check' position, I was totally at her mercy. I could feel myself leaning into her space, as if I was being pulled in by her own field of gravity.

"Kiss her you fool"
