Archie was a pretty well-known mortician. He worked as one at the police department, very well liked. He was very reserved and closed off, though.

Couldn’t blame the guy. He had trust issues and was an introvert. The only time he ever had to talk to people was when the officers came down with a body or when they were coming to fetch the deceased’s records. He liked the quiet atmosphere. Helped him think, focus, and get his job done.
Sometimes, he would hum to himself as he worked, and it helped him focus better. Some of the people who worked at the station couldn’t handle the smell of the bodies in the mortuary.

Sure, the sterileness helped a bit, but not much. Archie was quite used to the smell as he shadowed while he was in college, and he worked on some deceased while he was learning.

He did have a very sensitive sense of smell that he got from his mother. He forced himself to get used to the smell. As for some of the gruesome things he’s seen, he tends to turn off his emotions.

He was a very emotional guy and was very empathetic towards the families and people who were affected by their loved ones' passing. Especially when it turns out to be a child. He’s always loved kids.

He was an uncle of 5 and loved them all very much. He couldn’t imagine if something horrible happened to them. He also worked as a teacher of some sorts when he was younger.

He worked at an enrichment center and was always surrounded by kids. He was a very kind guy, and it showed. It was very prominent whenever he spoke. He had a very soft, comforting, and soothing voice that could calm anyone.

He had that parental aura, a comforting presence. Anyone could go to him for comfort and support, and he would deliver. He was already a parental figure to his friends.

It had been that way ever since they met him. He treated them with kindness and love. He was the father that his friends may never have had. They either didn’t have one, or they just had a shitty dad.
