Neera Celine Alarcon, a spoiled but well-mannered girl who's the only child of business tycoons.
The night of my special day, my 18th birthday, was filled with excitement. I had meticulously planned a high-end party, and I couldn't wait for it to begin. I'm Neera Celine, the spoiled only child of business tycoons, but I assure you, I'm a well-mannered girl.
My parents really planned my 18th birthday well. They want the best for their daughter and I thank them for it.
I also got the most supportive friends.
Alam niyo ba ang kulang?
‘Yong tamang taong magaalaga sakin. I’m tired of being the second option and being cheated on. Madalang na lang ang mga lalaking matino.
It's my birthday. Hindi lang mga kaibigan ko ang nandito. Pati na rin lahat ng business partners ni Dad ay nandito. He even introduced me to his friend’s son pero he's not my type. He looked like he smokes and I hate cigarettes.
As my friends arrived and visitors started to pour in, I couldn't help but rush to them. I hugged them and said, "My babes! You're finally here!" One of my friends, Minerva, replied, "We couldn't miss our friend's debut party."
The host announced that it was time for me to blow the candle on my birthday cake.
My heart filled with anticipation as I thought about my wishes. I wanted a caring husband and to be a successful woman.
"Alright!" I shouted happily, standing in front of the beautiful cake. My dad encouraged me, saying, "Make a wish, anak.”
Syempre, ni-wish ko ‘yong better life for my parents. Ni-wish ko rin na sana paggising ko may caring husband ako at mga cute na twins na anak.
I closed my eyes and wished for it.
After a few hours, my friends and I went to a nearby club for an after-party. The music was loud, and the crowd was dancing.
Sumabay ako sa kanta. The song fits me.
I swayed my hips along with my friends, enjoying the moment.
“This is so fun!” Sigaw ko.
I’m enjoying every moment because YOLO. You only live once.
We got drunk, and I wanted to go home, but I didn't want to disturb anyone. So, I entered my car to drive back.
Saglit akong natulala sa loob ng sasakyan. Hesitating if magd-drive ba ako o tawagan ko nalang si Dad.
Pero ayaw ko talaga maka-istorbo kaya nagmamaneho nalang ako kahit mali.
I was drunk but drove carefully.
Suddenly, I woke up, completely different in appearance and in a different place. I felt matured.
The room is so unfamiliar. Hindi ko ito kwarto!
I was completely shocked to see a man and twins sleeping peacefully beside me. I cursed at myself, "Where the hell am I?”
Tumayo ako upang tignan ang sarili ko sa salamin. I carefully removed the hands para hindi ko sila magising.
I saw myself in the mirror. Ibang iba talaga ako. I looked like a mother na.
But seriously, what happened?
I heard a murmur. I glanced at the man on my bed. He’s smiling.
“Good morning, wife.” He said with his morning voice.
That was so hot, but why did he call me wife?
