In the Beginning, before time began, there was only The One: an extradimensional entity that served as the sentient core and lifeforce of the primordial multiverse. We do not know how The One came to be, but it's believed that it resided within a higher plane of existence where Order and Chaos existed in perfect harmony, as it wasn't just inhabited by planets and galaxies, but by energy beings who evolved into omnipotent gods who each represented an aspect of reality. For an untold time, it existed in isolation from its fellow cosmic entities, pure and inviolate, but it was sentient and therefore it questioned its existence, seeking to understand itself, its place, and its purpose. And so, to better understand those things, The One peered outside of its realm. Witnessing the creation of a myriad of multiverses, The One sought to create a multiverse of its own, where it can fragment itself across its many worlds to experience their myriad struggles and evolutions to understand itself and the nature of its very being when these vessels returned to their Source after their mission's completed. And so, it created. This is the chronicle of the events of but one universe...this is the story of the Beyondverse...
13.8 Billion Years Ago, the prime universe of the One's newly-formed multiverse at first existed as an ultra-hot fog of hydrogen energy that was smaller than an atom. Then, it expanded and inflated into existence in an event the humans call "The Big Bang." After a billion years, galaxies of stars with orbiting planets were created. On several of these new worlds, life gradually evolved thanks to the mysterious life-giving energies of the Zodiac, eventually and miraculously bringing forth sentient beings in many shapes and sizes. First among these new lifeforms were beings made of energy such as the Vok race of the Nexus Zero Nebula, who were among the earliest alien civilizations in the universe. Meanwhile, organic life evolved through carbon bonding, while mechanical life evolved through the naturally occurring interaction of gears, levers, and pulleys, dubbed "Atechnogenesis" by scientists. Advanced forms of atechnogenesis even brought forth technorganic lifeforms, beings made of flesh and metal merged together at the cellular level.
To better observe this young universe, The One created from a portion of its lifeforce an immortal child, tasked to explore the young universe and maintain balance within it. A child that was born without the prejudice and bias of their parent's memories, so will be better able to judge their parent without preconception and favoritism, but only with a burgeoning curiosity. This child of The One was given the name of Daiakuron, a unique digital entity that wore the eight faces of Order, Chaos, Space, Wisdom, Nature, Transformation, Knowledge, and Death. And so, Daiakuron began their eternal exploration, passing freely across the cosmos, experiencing what would arise.
For many eons, Daiakuron traveled across the universe, making contact with numerous worlds and their inhabitants. They were amazed by their observations, but they lived in isolation. Without any of the creatures they've encountered equaling their power, Daiakuron questioned their existence, beginning to converse with themselves. Why did it exist, What was its purpose, and if there was such a thing Who had set it all in motion and Where were they and How? However, Daiakuron was alone in the universe, with no equal to answer these questions but themselves. In time, eight unique personas begin to form within Daiakuron's mind, with each of them based on their eight faces of Order, Chaos, Space, Wisdom, Nature, Transformation, Knowledge, and Death. While the personas were one being in the form of Daiakuron, the act of division separated them into eight viewpoints whose opinions, insights, and feelings began to grow ever more divisive and irreconcilable, until they all became entrenched in their views and unwilling to see any of the others' side. And the more they argued, the more Daiakuron began to feel divided in both mind and spirit, until they divided in form as well.
After Daiakuron's fragmentation, the eight personas then gained their physical forms as cosmic deities made of pure digital energy, each of them representing an aspect of reality. The first was Primus the Lifegiver, and after him came Unicron the Chaos-Bringer, Atlas the Transmutator, Solomus the Wise, Gaea the Seeder, Adaptus the Shaper, Epistemus the Thinker, and lastly Mortilus the Deathbringer. Together, they were known by many names, including the Guiding Hand, the Lords of Light and Darkness, and the Star Gods.
