Vanessa coughed up water from her lungs, she felt sand all over her body. The sun rays blinded her, she felt as if people were standing around her. A familiar voice. “Come on Steve, stop smoking already, we have a life to save!” Vanessa's eyes shot open, she heard multiple footsteps approaching her, she couldn't quite fully see but could hear, the footsteps were too loud to be human. She tried to stand up but she felt a sharp pain. Someone with an afro looked down on her, almost trying to block the sun rays for her. “Hey it's okay Vanessa, you're safe.” It was that girl Alice. That felt really stalkerish. And someone else she couldn't quite make out. They approached her and it was an unknown man, his face seemed familiar. “Vanessa, this is my good friend Steve Raglin, he found you drowning and saved you. He alerted me that someone was drowning and coincidentally it was someone who probably has a really bad impression of me.” Steve and Alice carried Vanessa for almost 20 minutes, Ness wondered how they hadn't taken any breaks yet.
They had reached a mansion, gently putting Vanessa on a rocking chair on the front porch. “Miss Monroe, would you like some healing tea?” That must've been the Steve guy, she nodded her head. Alice sat across from Ness. “Everyone thought you were dead, there was even a search party for you. You've been missing for 3 months…” Vanessa couldn't move she just stared at Alice. Steve returned with a cup of tea “Don't worry it's not hot, the tea works better cold. Try to stay as comfortable as possible.” Ness grabbed the cup and she took a hesitant sip. The liquid was surprisingly cold and had a metallic tang unlike anything she'd ever tasted.. She felt her body feel better immediately, what was in this tea? Steve cleared his throat “So Miss Monroe before you were missing did you experience any form of attacks while you were near an abandoned area?” Vanessa's eyes bulged out, she put her tea down. “So many times but there was one that happened quite recently, I was hanging out with my girlfriend and I heard a noise coming from the building, I followed it and. And… I don't remember…” Ness slowly shaked her head. Alice looked at Vanessa as if she knew something Ness didn't. She smiled “Well that's unfortunate, but by any chance has someone named Lillian or Lilith locked you in a room. Please we are trying to get the full picture of things here.”
Janette took a shot of gin while Juliet entered the living room “Hey auntie Jane, do you have a lighter, or a match?” Jane turned around to look at Juuls. “Yeah Jilly but why do you need it? Knowing you teens, you are probably gonna use it for drugs.” Juliet scoffed “Obviously no! I'm gonna use it to burn Vee's stuff so bits of her soul won't linger around. Or at least that's what Gregory told me to do.” Janette chuckled as she grabbed a lighter from the pocket of her robes. And handed it to Juuls “You kids and your superstitions.” Juliet clears her throat. “It's not superstition, everyone in the goddamn town is haunted.” Her aunt held onto the armrest of her armchair. “Language young lady! I didn't raise a bitch." She looked at her aunt. “You just said an even worse curse word” Juuls turn stormed off with the lighter in her pocket.
Janette just chuckled as she took another shot of gin and started to feel like she was about to pass out. The house was entirely silent, the only sound you could hear was the TV buzzing. The entire house felt like it shook when something fell in the kitchen, “Hello?” Jane stood up, she felt danger so she grabbed the fire poker for self defense and wandered into the kitchen. As she slowly opened the door for the kitchen her blood started boiling, her body was cramped up and ready to attack. She dropped the fire poker immediately when she saw Robert crouched up on the floor. “Robert Myers you are fuckin’ alive??” Bob looked up at her. “Oh come on Janette we're family. I'm not a stranger, no need to be so formal.” Jane spits on the ground to show disrespect to him. “You are not family, you are a monster.”
Robert stood up and he was much taller than Janette. “Hey Missy, you are being too dramatic. So what, I failed at gutting a couple kids and now I'm no longer considered human? At the end of the day the kids didn't even die .” He chuckled to himself. Jane's face contorted into anger and disbelief. “Janette, you look exactly like Elsie when you get angry.” She started hyperventilating. “Sick fuck, don't you dare speak a word about my cousin, who died because of how incompetent of as a human being you are.” Bob's face dropped, and he raised his hands above his head. “Look, I'll stop playing around now.” Sigh. “I want to know why I'm haunted by my victims when they are very much alive. I felt like you know something, since you know you are into ghosts and stuff. Please I swear I won't lay a single finger on my…your family.” Jane started to crouch down. “Look Myers, the supernatural world is very different than you think it is. It is not the ghosts that haunt you. It never really is that simple. The things that are haunting you is their pain and agony they felt in that exact moment. Remember those ‘Freddy's’ cases from the eighty’, everyone thinks that the ghosts hang around for like 40 years but ghosts are too weak to stay there for long so their anger stays there for them. It's exactly like that.” Janette reached down for her fire poker and stabbed Robert in the stomach and ran off to her room.
Bob screamed in pain, as he held the fire poker to prevent it from bleeding more.”You fucking bitch!” The voice told him ‘Kill her’. He immediately pulled out the poker, it didn't matter if he bled or not. Robert knocked on Jane's door “I can help you meet Elsie again, wouldn't you want that?” She tried barricading her door, she knocked over her bed with all her strength and started sliding it to the door. “You won't kill me today Bastard.” Bob started banging on the door even more, Janette started crying once she had realized that her phone wasn't with her.
Crash!
“Holy shit Aunt Jane, Who the fuck was that!” It was Juliet. The banging had stopped. Jane slowly pulled the bed down and moved it away from the door. Juuls was standing outside her room with a broken chair in her hands, next to an unconscious Bob. “Jilly, you saved me. I was gonna die.” Juliet sighed. “Come on, I'm not good at hiding bodies, how are we supposed to hide this randos body.” Juuls eyes filled with realization of what she had just said. “By the way, I wasn't referring to a human body, that just came out wrong. I meant the body of a rat I accidentally stepped on and killed one time.” Janette looked weirded out by Juliet but didn't take the comment seriously. “He is not dead yet”
Alice gently carried Vanessa to a bed, the room was so fancy… It looked like something straight out of a renaissance painting, the beds had long pearly white drapes coming from the ceiling, the curtains were closed but light still shined through from the thin silky fabric that was used to make it. “Am I in a castle?” Asked Vanessa in a weak voice, Alice chuckled a little, “I wish, this is the only room that looks like this. You could say Mrs. Owner of this house found this room special.” Ness rubbed her eyes, “Did William Shakespeare live here or something?”
“Close enough, this is the exact where the first ever fall fest was.” Fall fest? “Wait what’s fall fest?” Alice stood up and started walking to the window to open the curtains. “Fall fest was an event by Fazbear Entertainment. It was before all the animatronics, if I remember correctly it was a mascot show. People in the 1970s must've found it amusing enough to keep on watching grown adults run around in cheap elephant and jester costumes.” Ness looks at Alice, her eyes bulged out as if she is finally conscious from a deep slumber. “Wait, you are my stalker. You literally told me that while I was at work.” Alice turned around slowly, “I apologized to Vanessa, wasn't that enough?” Ness rubbed her eyes. “Well no! I-” Alice walked closer to her, “But Vanessa, I know you loved the fifteen minutes of fame you had ever since you were attacked by that thing. After all that's what a traumatized bitch like you needs, attention.” Tears started falling down Vanessa's soft face, she frowned. “You don't know me.” Something grabbed Ness from the back, she screamed. “Let me go!” Alice was no longer near the window, it was almost as if she had disappeared.
“Vanessa calm down!” Vanessa hyperventilated, as she snapped back to reality, at least for a moment. Alice hugged Vanessa from the stomach from behind. “Don't worry, I know exactly what happened. Just know that whatever you saw wasn't real.” Vanessa softly looked at Alice, they both smiled at each other, until Ness started crying her throat out. “Mom I'm scared, I don't want to die. Please don't let me die.” Alice held Ness down to the bed to calm her, it wasn't working. “Please mom, I can't die yet. It's trying to kill me, oh god it's trying to attack me. He will try to tear my limbs apart. What is he?”
