Preet's POV
I came out to my balcony to see the view of Amritsar's streets. The street was quite busy. And narrow. There were clothes shops, accessories shops, vegetables vendors, etc. Children were playing different outdoor games.

So many people and things were there, but my eyes were searching for the only one. I don't know who he is. He was coming to our street and used to stop in front of my Nanu's house. From where my balcony was visible.

After searching the whole market from the balcony itself, my eyes finally saw what they were craving for. Those black eyes. He was looking at me too. He looks older than me and has captivated me with his eyes. He wears a mask to hide his face. From the past five days, I am seeing him in front of Nanu's house looking at my balcony.

Does he come here to see me too?

This mere thought warmed my cheeks up.

"Gali mein maare phere
Paas aane ko mere

Gali mein maare phere
Paas aane ko mere

Kabhi parakhta nain mere
To kabhi parakhta tol

Kabhi parakhta nain mere
To kabhi parakhta tol

Ambersariya mundya ve
Kachchiyaan kaliyaan na tod

Ambersariya mundya ve
Kachchiyaan kaliyaan na tod

Teri maa ne bole hain
Mujhe teekhe se bol

Teri maa ne bole hain
Mujhe teekhe se bol

Ambarsariya...
Ho ambarsariya..."

I came back to my thoughts when my eyes lost him. I ran my eyes in the entire street but found him nowhere.

I sighed sadly and turned back to my room when my breath hitched.

He was standing there on my balcony. His mask was removed, yet I couldn't see his face as it was all blurred. Just his captivating eyes were visible. But how come is he here? Wasn't he outside a moment ago?

My heartbeat raced when he took a step towards me. I stepped back only for my back to touch the railing. I gulped when he tapped my cheek lightly.

"Preet..." He called my name. Ahh...his voice 🤌🤌

"Preet..." He called again. Louder this time.

"PREET..." why is he suddenly shouting my name!?

"PREET...FOR GOD'S SAKE WAKE UP! YOU WILL BE LATE!" I woke up with a jolt. And took deep breaths. It was Mumma. And not that blurred faced handsome.

"Why are you shouting mumma!?"

"Why am I shouting!! Time dekha hai? Late ho Jana hai tune!" She snapped at me and stormed out of my room.
