Dev's POV
"That's really great. Would you like to tell us what kind of books you like to read?" Asked dad and she choked on water. Her expression is telling that she reads not so good books which she can't tell them.

*Smirks*

She calmed down and answered that question which left all of us amazed.

"I...uh..yes! I like to read fairy tales."

Her expression changed as if she just blabbered out anything. Our eyes met and I raised my eyebrow, to which she smiled nervously.

The talks continued during the lunch and I was asked some questions too. I was too busy to answer them as I was continuously looking at the honey eyes which I craved to see for the five years.

Still I answered them.

"Stop looking at her like that." My father whispered in my ear. I looked at him and whispered back "Like what?"

"Like a creep." He said and I looked at him with a surprised look.

"I am not a creep." I muttered but it seems he didn't hear that.

Soon the lunch came to an end and both family members were sitting in the living room. Talking non stop.

I can understand my mom, but why's dad talking too much to Arun Uncle!?

Soon we took our leave and headed back home. I was going to the office but my mom stopped me and asked me to come home. I agreed as I was in a good mood today.

Upon reaching home, I was heading towards my room but my dad called me midway.

"Dev, in my study. Now."

I saw it coming. I knew it would come as soon as we reached home.

I went there and found dad already waiting for me.

As soon as I entered there, he crossed his arms across his chest and said "Explain."

I knew what he was talking about. I didn't waste any time in saying "I like her."

He sighed, came to me, put his hand on my shoulder and said "She is young. Too innocent for you. And your secret, I don't think she would want to be with you after knowing that."

He is right. But I want her. I have waited for 5 years for her. Now no more wait.

"Either her or no one. The choice is yours, Dad." I said plainly. Looking straight into his eyes.

"Fine, I will talk to Mr. Sinha after a few days. Not now." He said and I nodded. I made my way to my room without saying a word.

Entering my room I locked it from inside.

The whole evening, I spent thinking about her. Sometimes laying on the bed. Sometimes I sat on the mini bar in my room. Sometimes on the balcony. I wanted to do some pending work but couldn't focus.

Today, for the first time I heard her voice. Indeed the honey voice. Just like her eyes.

All of a sudden, I wanted to hear music after all these years.

After his death, I, not only distanced myself from people but also all these hobbies. I loved to paint and listen to old music. But that accident took all these away from me.

And now, today, I want to hear the music again. I want to paint again.

I unlocked my phone, downloaded a music app and searched for my favourite song.

As the song played, I closed my eyes only to see her.

I was peacefully listening to the song when the particular part came and the corner of my lips automatically curved upwards.
