August 3
Today is the day I'm having my birthday party at my house because my parents are away on the mainland all evening. I'm so excited about having this party.
Sarah and I are getting ready for the party. We've blown up probably a hundred balloons and hung them up all around the house. It's almost hard to breathe because of all the air we've given the balloons.
We've also baked cakes and I stole alcohol from my parents' stash. Just two bottles so they wouldn't notice, but Sarah stole two as well. Then Kelce took care of the rest. I'm grateful to have him.
"Do you want this one here?" Sarah asks, holding the balloons with the numbers 1 and 9.
"Can it be in the hall where you enter?" I say.
"Sure," Sarah says, and takes the balloons to the hall instead.
Another thing we've done is made a playlist with really good songs for the party.
The party starts in an hour and we've spent the whole day making everything nice and ready. I'm actually pretty excited about tonight. Normally, I don't like having my own parties because they always turn into chaos, but this time I've only invited just enough people so it won't be chaotic.
"Topper just texted that he and the boys will be here in five minutes with the alcohol," Sarah says.
"Perfect," I say, hanging up the last balloon.
I hate that my brother is going to be at this party, but I'm thankful that he promised not to tell our parents that I have alcohol at the party. They think I'm just going to have maybe nine people over to eat pizza and watch movies. But that's not at all what's planned.
The front door opens, and we hear voices coming from the hall towards us, and the next second the guys come into the kitchen with bags that probably contain alcohol.
Kelce puts the bags on the kitchen table. "Now everything is set," he says and starts unpacking the bottles.
"Thanks, it means so much to me, everything you've done," I say and give them a warm smile.
"No problem," Kelce says, returning my smile with his.
Rafe comes up to me and puts his arm around my waist. He gives me a kiss on my cheek before helping the others unpack the drinks. I also help unpack the last of it. Then everything is completely ready, and we just have to wait for the guests.
"You have no idea how many hours it took us to blow up those balloons," Sarah says and sighs as she sits down on one of the kitchen chairs around the table.
"I can imagine. What is it, like a hundred of them?" Topper says, looking around at the balloons.
"We counted fifty-nine," I say, laughing as I realize how many there are.
"You guys are so crazy," Nathan says.
"You are," I say, giving him a sarcastic smile.

A little less than an hour later, the first guests arrive. The playlist is playing, and everything is set. The cakes, the alcohol. Yes, everything is so perfectly in order that I can finally feel like I can relax and enjoy the evening instead.
"Adeline! It's been so long since we last saw each other!" someone behind me says, and when I turn around with the drink in my hand, I realize it's my old best friend from elementary school.
"Hi," I say, smiling and returning the hug she gives me. "It really has been a long time."
"Yeah, I'm so glad to see you again," my friend Olivia says. "I have to get a drink now, but we'll see each other more tonight, right?"
"Yeah, we will," I say before she walks away.
I take a sip of my drink before I move further into the room. There are a lot of people here now. More than I invited. But what did I expect? It always happens at these kinds of parties. As soon as someone finds out there's going to be a party, uninvited people show up or they bring someone they know because they don't want to come alone. I've done that several times myself, so I guess I can't blame them.
The music is playing loudly, making it hard to hear what others are saying or to talk to people. I start a few conversations with some friends and people I don't know. Many congratulate me or say a quick hello, and I respond with many thanks and smiles.
I see Rafe walking towards me through the crowd with a drink in his hand. When he reaches me, he kisses me directly on my lips, which makes me push him away in surprise and look at him.
"What are you doing?" I ask. He's really drunk.
"Kissing my girlfriend. Isn't that okay?" Rafe says.
"Yes, but here?" I say, but it's hard to say more because Rafe's lips are already on mine again.
He breaks the kiss to meet my gaze. "Do you want to go upstairs?"
I look around the room. I should really stay here and make sure it doesn't get chaotic, but I know that Nathan is here, and he also lives in the house and is very responsible, and Sarah is here too, so it should be fine.
"Sure," I say, and start leading Rafe towards the stairs.
As we go up the stairs, I feel Rafe's hands on me all the time, and I can't help but smile at the thought of how much he wants me right now. I hope it's not just because he's drunk. I'm actually a bit sad that he got so drunk at my birthday party when he could have stayed sober and focused on me with his normal mind. But I guess I shouldn't complain.
We walk along the corridor where all the bedrooms are. Thankfully, I locked all the rooms so no one can get in. We go all the way to the end where my room is. I unlock it and close the door immediately.
Rafe starts taking off my clothes as soon as I've closed the door, and it doesn't take long before he presses me against the wall so he can kiss me. Aggressively. If I didn't know him, I'd probably be scared of him right now.
He kisses me for a long time, and the kiss becomes sloppier and wetter. I feel his hands move from my cheeks down to my shoulders, down along my waist and stomach and hips. I can't help but moan loudly when I feel three of his fingers enter me at once. I really wasn't prepared for that.
I grab Rafe's shoulders tightly to stay upright and meet his wicked smile. His fingers move inside me quickly, and my nails dig deep into Rafe's skin, hoping it doesn't hurt him.
"Oh my gosh," I whisper when I feel him inside me.
Just when I start to feel like I'm about to come, Rafe pulls his fingers out, and I feel the anger start to build inside me. Why did he have to do that?
"Rafe!" I say, but he just smiles as he leads me to the bed behind us, where he climbs over me, and I feel his tongue on my clit.
"Rafe," I moan. Why does he have to be so good at everything he does?
I finally start to feel ready to come again, but for some reason, Rafe wants to irritate me today because he leaves me down there and comes up to my lips instead, kissing me slowly.
"Please," I beg.
"What?" Rafe asks while his kisses wander down to my neck.
"I need you," I say.
"What did you say?" Rafe has the biggest smirk on his lips.
"Please," I beg.
"I like to see you beg," Rafe smirks.
"Just do it," I whisper.
Rafe smiles and kisses me one last time before getting up from the bed and putting his clothes back on. "I guess you'll have to wait," his grin is so big that I just want to scream at him.
