During breakfast, Changbin made it painfully obvious what his plan was.
To flirt with Seungmin and hopefully catch his attention.
Unlucky for him, however, that Seungmin was too preoccupied with 1.) the delicious food and 2.) Jeongin talking oh so casually with him and playing footsie under the table.
Kicking each other's feet back and forth playfully, Jeongin giggles softly as he eats while Seungmin keeps a calm facade.
"Hey, so, Seungmin-ah, I heard you're single," Changbin says casually, sitting back in his seat after finishing his food.
"I am. Where did you hear that from?" He asks, resisting the urge to wince.
Yes, he's single, but no, he doesn't want to be.
Much like many people, he wants a relationship, but with one person in particular.
Jeongin.
They do have some sort of relationship, but it's not the one he craves.
I mean, don't get him wrong, the sex is mind-boggling amazing, but he wants cuddles, kisses, sweet words of affection, affirmations, extended time together, dates, public displays, and the label.
Of course, the label doesn't matter as much as everything else, but it does help to classify what they are to each other and reassure him.
"Jeongin-ah told me so, when we first met," he says, sounding confused that he didn't know.
'Jeongin told him?' Seungmin thinks to himself, unable to feel anything but disappointment.
To Seungmin, it can't get any more obvious that Jeongin doesn't like him in that way than that.
It's now very painfully obvious that Jeongin doesn't like him romantically, just likes his body and now Seungmin is feeling insecure and upset.
"Ah, I see. Well, I am single, but I don't plan on dating anytime soon," he replies blankly, looking at Jeongin with a pout, to which he receives a confused look in response.
"Now, look, I didn't tell you he was single, per se. I recall telling you he was uninterested," Jeongin says quickly, scrambling to maintain Seungmin's good mood.
"Nah, I remember you saying he was single right before you two disappeared upstairs because he had too much to drink," Changbin replies, earning a stern look from Chan.
By now, Chan had mostly figured out what was going on between the two maknaes.
He had figured out they were sleeping together last night when he woke up for water and heard Seungmin moaning Jeongin's name in the other room.
He did have an idea from when they first met, due to Jeongin's reaction when Changbin hit on Seungmin and how they quickly disappeared after, Seungmin as red as a strawberry.
"Why, you plan on taking him out?" Chan jokes, mainly to test his theory of the relationship between the two younger ones, but also a genuine question.
"Yeah, sure," Changbin replies absently, looking at Seungmin expectantly.
"So? Whaddya think? Wanna go out sometime?" He asks eagerly, like a child on Christmas waiting to open presents.
Almost like he forgot Seungmin and Jeongin both implied him being uninterested in dating.
"Go out where? Tell me the details and I'll think about it," Seungmin teases, finishing his food and sitting back in his chair.
"Uh, no, you won't. You're busy," Jeongin says with a pout.
"How do you know? There isn't even a day set," Seungmin retorts sassily, glaring at Jeongin.
