"Aurélie!! your cousins are here!" my mom tells from the bottom of the steps.
"okay coming!" i yell back
i quickly went down the stairs, and opened the front door.
"hiiiii" Maddie yelled as soon as i opened the door.
"we missed you!" jade added
They quickly swept me into a group hug before i could even respond to them.
we created small talk as we walked back up my stairs into my room.
"ooo okayyy this is cute" Jade said after entering my room
"definitely needs more decorations but i loveee this set up." Maddie added
"thanks" i smiled
"okay well, i need an update, the drama, a run down of the city and all the people here, and major help with making new friends." i list off my fingers
"oh we got you" Jade smiles
"The people here are different than Paris. Not that they are bad, but you just need to sort out the good and bad ones." Maddie assures me
"especially the boys" Jade adds shaking her head
"oh great" i reply
we spent almost 3 hours in my room chatting and updating each other on the past couple months, and also what i should expect while living here.
-
Maddie gasps "omg tomorrow night we have to have a sleep over"
"wait I thought Josh was having a party?" Jade replies
"who's Josh?" i ask
"Well we can do both" Maddie says to Jade
"You drink right?" Jade asks me
" Yea, i little" i say nonchalantly
I lied. I do drink almost every weekend with my friends back in Paris. But honestly I have no clue how Maddie and Jade feel about it.
"Okay well, obviously no pressure, but our friend Josh is having a big birthday party. If you came with us you could meet a bunch of people from our school." Maddie says
"and you could sleep at our house, or yours after." she adds
"omg that sounds so fun. let's do it." Jade says
"okay yea, that's cool" i smile
I am honestly nervous about meeting new people here. But i am very much an extrovert so i think once I find a few people to talk to I should feel fine.

Maddie and Jade left my house shortly after we made our plans for tomorrow night.
I unpacked the rest of my stuff and organized everything into my closets and drawers.
In my new room i have a big open window with a sitting area underneath. It's the perfect place to put my art supplies and easel.
I absolutely love painting, and honestly London has some pretty beautiful places I saw on the way here.
I wanted to start a painting this evening because i didn't have really anything else to do.
