The Murder: Meet the flock

Chapter 2

Raven's P.O.V.

I looked back at the dumbass and my eyes widened for a moment, realizing he was falling. Wide eyes quickly turned into an eye roll. Obviously, I'm tired of saving his ass.

I'd quickly turned and grabbed onto Crow's shirt right above his chest and pulled him onto the roof fully.

"If I have to keep saving you're ass from near death experiences to a Zed or other causes, I'm going to give up...Im not baby sitting a grown ass man!" I scolded him. Quickly, I went quiet again and took the bag from Crow to help pull some extra weight.

"You're gonna be the death of me..." He muttered to himself as he glanced up at the other male then towards the sky... It was dusk. I'd get into the extra bag that was thrown over my back. It was actually a small two person tent that was a quick setup.

10 minutes later , the entire tent was set up sleeping bags, travel bags, rations, and even the roof door. It was boarded up til' morning so we are secure on the roof.

Crow's P.O.V.

*Gasping for breath after my near death experience, I help set up the tent*

"So uh, thank you, Raven, for saving me" *I look away embarrassed.* "I can't believe I almost fell."

"I can," Raven quipped, grinning. "You are just kinda like that."

I groaned. "I am not." I smiled

"What are you five?" He asked

"Nope, just a smart ass." I laughed a little. "I'll see you in the morning, I'm gonna hit the sack. We should be safe for the night, but just in case, sleep with your weapons and have everything packed except our sleeping gear."

Raven nodded in the affirmative.

"Be ready to move out at first light." I stated. I began drifting to sleep to the sound of zombies, throwing themselves off the roof of the building we had just vacated earlier in the day.
