When I was little I thought my life was meaningless, yet I was wrong like always. Being out of place has always been part of my life, not like I need more people to feel sorry for me I'm fine. I made good friends, a nice orphanage to call home, and a nice school there's no reason for me to cry about the past I had been through. A few days had passed since our training session, and my friend Daijin and I were out for a stroll. We walked past various stores and hero figures without paying them much attention until Daijin suddenly stopped me in my tracks. "Coffee Jelly! Have you ever tried it? It's amazing!" he exclaimed, pointing excitedly at a store. Intrigued, I agreed to try it and we made our way to the store together, chatting about movies as we walked. As we savored our coffee jelly, I asked Daijin a question that had been on my mind: "So, who do you think would win in a battle between All Might and Mr. Aizawa?" Daijin threw his arms up in the air and responded with a playful grin, "Nobody!" I couldn't help but giggle at his response. "Do you believe that?" I asked him, curious to hear his reasoning. Daijin pondered for a moment before replying, "Well, I don't necessarily believe that, but it's hard to say. All Might is incredibly powerful, but Mr. Aizawa's quirk can erase his opponent's powers. It's a tough call." I nodded in agreement and added, "I see your point, but I still think All Might would come out on top." As we continued our conversation, adjusting my gloves as people walked past us, I felt grateful for the simple pleasure of spending time with a good friend. He suddenly started skipping around in front of me, and I couldn't help but join in. We eventually ended up at the park, and I noticed a small puddle on the ground. I turned to look at Daijn, and he grinned mischievously at me. "Dude, it's a puddle," he said with a smirk. I nodded in agreement, and before I knew it, we were both jumping into the puddle, laughing and splashing each other. The water was cool and refreshing, and we were having so much fun that I almost wished our friends Miju and Aki could join us. Unfortunately, they were both busy with other things, so Daijn and I continued to play around in the puddle, soaking ourselves from head to toe. It was a simple moment, but one that I knew I would remember for a long time. The sound of each other panting surprised me, I sat down on the bench removing my mask. About my mask why do I wear it? Wearing a mask brings the comfort of hiding everything so people can't just keep on asking why you're so sad or why you have scars. I always tell people I wear it as a disguise until I'm blue in the face. I caught my breath and my senses were heightened as I felt an unsettling sensation of being watched. When I looked up, I saw Daijn's penetrating gaze fixed on me, causing a chill to run down my spine. I quickly averted my eyes and turned my head to the other side, hoping to shake off the strange feeling. I noticed a sudden change in his demeanor. He seemed hesitant to speak, but eventually said, "Don't." Then he lowered his gaze from me. Confused, I wondered what had made him react that way. "Just you don't need to hide your face from me," he continued. stared at him for a moment, contemplating his words. "My face doesn't worry you?" I asked, still perplexed. Dajin shook his head in response. It was a relief to hear that my appearance didn't make him uncomfortable. I felt a sudden surge of happiness that made my chest hurt. "Haku, your face doesn't worry me because it's the face of my friend," he said, offering a warm smile. Overwhelmed with emotions, I hugged him tightly. I hope I didn't hurt him, but I couldn't help it. We started talking, and I noticed that Dajin laughed a lot, like a friendly dog. Then, he asked me if I had thought of any superhero names. I hesitated, thinking that my PTSD and my small case of Haphephobia would make me a rather poor hero. However, Dajin came up with an idea for my hero's name. "The Great Maskie!" he exclaimed, making it sound like a legendary name. I couldn't help but giggle at how cool he made it sound. Daijn exclaimed, "It's a helluva great name. Be proud that the great amazing Daijn blessed you with such an epic name. Even the gods themselves would be jealous!" He then stood up on the bench, and I tried to get him to sit down, but it seemed hopeless. Suddenly, Daijn yelled out, "FEAR MASKIE!!!" I was taken aback by his sudden outburst, but before I could say anything, a familiar voice yelled back, "Who the F-". I looked up to see Aki and Miju walking towards us. "Oh hi," I said quietly, trying to keep a low profile. But Aki didn't seem to be in a friendly mood, and immediately he picked a fight with Daijn. As they exchanged words, my eyes drifted toward Miju, and I felt my body shake a little as I acted more shy around her. "Where were you guys?' she asked elbowing me, somehow I felt nervous. "U-h coffee." I stuttered as Miju smiled at me with her pastel pink three eyes. "Ok, Aki is being a butt today." she whispered in my ear making me giggle."I could tell." I whispered back as I fixed my gloves. Aki looked at me and I felt a chill up my spine, his gray unworldly eyes made me feel a little scared and the way his glasses reflected the sunlight. "Come on Fellowship, let's go!" We all skip to Miju's house exempt for Aki who walks like a slow poke. At the house, I showed Dajin lord of the Rings which was Miju's favorite but, I'm a Star Wars man myself. Sitting next to Dajin I couldn't help but feel out of place. When we watched the movie I found myself gasping for air as I opened my eyes and saw myself surrounded by unfamiliar faces in a white room. My arms felt numb, and every scar and marking on them seemed to come alive. My heart was racing, and I felt a surge of panic rising in my chest. The voices around me sounded like a chorus of demons, and I couldn't make out what they were saying. Suddenly, a voice cut through the chaos like a knife. "Haku?!" I turned my head and saw Daijn staring at me with concern etched on his face. As I caught my breath, my friends looked at me with concern etched on their faces. "I'm ok," I reassured them. Aki, one of my friends, asked if I wanted a drink. Miju smacked him on the back of his head and exclaimed, "he's not 20! Either are you." Aki looked at her, red in the face, and I could tell he was about to lose his temper. "It doesn't matter. Adults or not, we're gonna drink anyway," he spoke with a sassy tone, making me laugh. Miju, on the other hand, declined the offer, and I agreed with her. To my surprise, Aki gave in and joined us in our laughter. As the night went on, I watched with awe as Miju and Aki worked on our hero costumes. Every stitch they made was like magic in my eyes, and I couldn't help but admire Aki's skills. It was funny to think that a tough guy like him could be so talented in making clothes, all thanks to Miju teaching him. Dajin walked into the room, he was immediately mesmerized by the costumes laid out on the table. He couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he gazed at the intricately designed clothes. "You are so awesome, like a granny!" spoke Dajin, praising the craftsmanship that went into the costumes. However, his compliment didn't seem to sit well with Aki, who responded with a growl. Ignoring Aki's reaction, Dajin continued marveling at the costumes, admiring the details and the skill that went into creating them. Meanwhile, I was engrossed in my drawings, trying to perfect my designs. As I looked up and saw the costumes, my eyes lit up with excitement. They were exactly like my drawings! I couldn't contain my joy and began jumping up and down, hugging my notebook. My white hair flowed as I bounced around, a huge smile plastered on my face. After a few moments of excitement, I realized that my costume was also ready. "All done with yours Haku," Miju shouted, turning to my friend. That's when I saw it - a pastel blue coat decorated with mini pastel snowflakes and black flowers, complete with a hoodie. It was even better than I had imagined! I couldn't wait to try it on and show it off. "You like it? We even made you new gloves and a mask!" spoke Miju as my heart couldn't help but, melt. I wanted to hug her so much, but it would be awkward. After going to the bathroom to change I bolted outside to join my friends who were dressed in their costumes. My smile was wide yet my friends couldn't see it from the mask. Little did I know that one day, I would be forced to reveal my true identity because of the crimes I had soon committed.
