Well, no one would believe that when you go for a morning walk with your best friend in your favorite city, that you will be kidnapped by some jerk with a balaclava, who at first appeared to be my dad's soldier.
"Let me out of here!" I screamed angrily and hit the steel door. I was on a ship, they were taking me somewhere, but I didn't know where. Fear was coursing through my veins, but I wasn't going to give in to it, because if I gave in to fear, I'd go crazy. "Please! Let me out of here!"
My voice broke, my ears were ringing and my heart was beating at a frantic pace. I ran a hand through my hair and stepped away from the iron door. Something in the room clicked and began to hiss. I looked around to find what it was. However, when I looked down, I saw smoke and realized that I had been breathing it all along without noticing.
"Please stop!" I started pounding on the door and tried not to breathe, which was difficult because I had to breathe. My vision slowly began to blur, I began to see black dots and my body stopped listening to my brain. I wanted to sleep.
My knees buckled and I fell onto my back, coughing a few times and trying to muster the last of my strength to get up and try once more to bang on the steel door that kept me from my freedom. A mist appeared before my eyes, cold as the ground I lay on. I squinted before I completely blacked out.

My eyelids slowly lifted. The first thing I felt was the cold that seeped through the wood of the floor and the stone walls, and I felt my head and back ache from the fall that happened on the ship when they let the anesthetic into my room.
"Ouch." I slowly sat up and looked around the room, which had furniture that looked outdated, a few candles and candlesticks, I also noticed a plate on the floor with potatoes and meat. Flies were flying over the food, nibbling deliciously on the food.
I heard quick, short footsteps approaching. I quickly got up and took the first thing I could get my hands on, which was an old candlestick. I hid behind a pillar of a stone wall and waited. The door opened and a man's voice spoke.
"Larissa?"
I ran out from behind the stone pillar and wanted to hit the stranger, but he quickly moved away. One of the twisted handles on the candlestick got stuck in the wooden floor and I couldn't get it out.
"Careful with that." He spoke to me again, but the adrenaline was pumping through my veins, giving me the courage to fight back and run, which was all I wanted. I plucked the candlestick from the floor and looked into the stranger's face.
"Just let me go." My voice was cracking, maybe it was from adrenaline or anger, but mostly it was from fear. I stretched again and closed my eyes as I wanted to hit the stranger again. I felt the candlestick get stuck and also the stranger's fingers on mine.
I opened my eyes and the stranger snatched the candlestick from my hands and threw it away. There was a loud thud and a soft clang before the candlestick lay motionless. I looked up at the stranger and started backing up.
"Listen." He hid his gun in his belt and now I noticed that he had a gun this whole time. Fear consumed me as I realized he could've shot me."My name is Leon. I am here on the President's orders-"
