After lunch, the whole hospital fell into a drowsy sleepiness. The doctors from the Cardiac Surgery Department went back to the lounge one after another to take an afternoon nap. Only Jennie was sitting in front of the computer reading her papers.
Jisoo finished brushing her teeth, passed by the duty room, saw Jennie was still inside, pushed the door open and came in. "Doesn't Master take a lunch break? You will feel much more refreshed if you only sleep for ten minutes."
"No, you go to sleep." When Jennie replied, her eyes were fixed on the computer, and she clicked the mouse busyly.
Recently, she has spent all her energy on the operation, and has no time to manage the laboratory affairs. The progress has fallen a lot, and she has to squeeze time to catch up. Jisoo understood the situation and knew that she had a heavy task, so she washed the tea cup and put it in her hand, without disturbing her, she quietly closed the door and left.
After a while, Jennie saw something suspicious and wanted to compare the experimental data, so she got up and turned off the computer, ready to go to the laboratory.
The door of the male doctor's lounge was ajar, and intermittent chatter could be heard. Jennie walked over quickly, and stopped when he heard a name without warning.
"Did you see Professor Kim Woobin yesterday? I was still an attending physician when I saw him last time. It's been more than ten years, time flies so fast."
"I went late, so I took a look at it from a distance, and I didn't say anything. It's a pity. The old man is a master in complex congenital heart. I really want to get to know him. You said that people surnamed Kim are so Great, our department Kim Jennie is so young, and her skills are so good, in another ten or twenty years, maybe she will be the second Professor Kim."
"It's not necessarily a good thing."
"How to say?"
"Heaven is jealous of talents. Professor Kim has saved people all his life. Who would have thought that all his family members died of heart disease, and when he was old, he would not even have anyone to talk to."
"real or fake?"
"I have a classmate in J Provincial People's Hospital. I heard from him that this is not a secret. Basically, everyone in the hospital knows that many people in the hospital attended the funeral."
"I still can't believe it... It is said that good people are rewarded, how could this be?"
The conversation between the two gradually sank, like an old scalper who had been mercilessly hit by fate, after hanging his head down, he never raised it again.
Jennie's back was against the wall, and she was barely able to stand still. There were cramps in her chest, like stomach cramps, or like her heart was being held by invisible hands, pinching fiercely at the most vulnerable part.
Jennie was so painful that his entire face lost all color, she arched her waist, and walked back while leaning on the wall, stopping every few steps to take a breath.
After finally dragging her body back to the duty room, Jennie took out a box of painkillers from the drawer with trembling hands. Recently, she suffers from stomach pains from time to time, and often wakes up from sleep in the early morning. She must take medicine to relieve the pain before she can fall asleep again.
With trembling fingers, she tore open the outer package, took out one tablet, and wanted to take another one, but found that the entire tablet had been taken.
Using honey water to send the last tablet of medicine into the stomach, Jennie pressed her upper abdomen with her hands, curled up, rested her forehead on the table, and pressed a stack of printed paper data that had not been checked in time.
