This was the last straw! She was sick of everyone criticising her actions, her tone of voice, the power of her quirk not being valuable enough, and being Momo's 'weak-ass substitute'. She is sick of people indicating her condition hindering her in some way. Despite her contributions to helping her peers in combat, rescuing civilians from danger, and trying to cheer people up when they are upset... nothing was good enough and she's had enough! She is not just some autistic man's emotional daughter! She is a rescue hero-in-training and very passionate about her career pathway thanks to her mentor, Siegfried. But the last off-handed comments have made her bottle explode.
"Why is she still so damn clingy to Souji?"
"What are emotions and drawing summons going to do?"
"Who told her she could be a hero? She dampens Mizuno's reputation, huh?"
This is what she heard over the last few weeks. She could've easily misinterpreted their concerns or even made it all up from small criticisms they'd make with her to ensure improvement.
The Drawn-to-Life user decides to storm into the homeroom and confront everyone before Mr Aizawa shows up and lectures her, making her presence known with a loud thud from the door. The class became startled, jumping out of their skin slightly and quickly turning to the brunette, orange eyes blazing.
"You all have 5 seconds to explain why you have been treating me so poorly behind my back all this time!"
The class looked worried, turning to each other and questioning how to approach this. Souji was about to stand up and deal with it, but Midoriya stood up before him and gave him a reassuring look, not wanting a huge sibling rivalry in the middle of their homeroom.
Souji gave Midoriya a very disapproving look, but ultimately shrugged and let the green-haired problem child try to sort this out.
"Rootsie, please just relax. I'm sure it's all a big mi-"
"And what do you know, Deku? You are always so busy acting the 'big hero' role to even notice anything that's been said!" She folded her arms, scowling slightly.
"Hey, that wasn't necessary! But listen, I'm sure there's a reason you feel this way, but you do not need to begin taking it out on us."
Head Representative Momo also stood up and walked to stand with Izuku to back up his point, looking at the female classmate with sad eyes.
"He's right. It is not fair making everyone feel horrible when only a select few have caused this, though I'm disappointed there have been people bullying others in the first place."
"I don't need your sugarcoated words, Momo! Step out of the way!" Rootsie's eyes turned red, fueled with further rage and pushed the two students out of the way and stormed toward Bakugo, slamming her fist onto his desk. Now, she is usually petrified of the guy and understandably so, as he's super powerful and has quite the mouth. But she's confident he was speaking dirt to the squad about her.
"Hey, angry mutt! What have you got to say for yourself, huh? Brainwashing the entire class to hate me is your definition of big, clever and wonderful?"
He growled at her, not wanting to take her bullshit, even if he was part of it.
"Back off, scribbles! What I do is none of your damn business, got that?! Unless you wanna take this outside!"
Before anyone could respond, Aizawa heard the commotion from down the hall and rushed to the room, shocked to see one of the model students lashing out like this.
"STOP THIS, IMMEDIATELY!"
The class became attentive, all eyes on their teacher as Ru's eyes are now back to orange to try and contain her rage as she grips her uniform sleeves as stress relief.
