Friends Don't Look at Friends That Way.

It's the night after our amazing date. I wake up early. 3 hours early to be exact. I get in my truck and grab the stuff to make an amazing breakfast and flowers and a necklace.
I go back to Lucy and Tamara's apartment. I make pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee, and tiramisu. I take Tamara her breakfast in bed. "Thanks Timmy." I roll my eyes at her. I go back out to the kitchen/living room. I make Lucy a plate and set it on the coffee table. I add chocolate covered strawberries to her plate as well. I set her favorite coffee mug with coffee next to it on the table as well.
Next I set her flowers in a vase by her breakfast. I start fixing my own plate when I hear Lucy get up. She walks out hair a mess, my shirt I let her have after Jackson was killed and her underwear. She stares wide eyed and smiles.
"Timothy Bradford," she walks to me and kisses me and holds my waist. " you made me breakfast?" She looks at the coffee table. "And flowers? Gift giving isn't your love language!"
I laugh at her. "For you, my girl, it is. That's not all." I grab her arm and lead her to the couch and set her down. "Here open this." I hand her a black box. She opens it and pulls out the gold pendant. It's engraved. The words read, "Through pain, through sorrow. You are my world. Through dark you are my light. My love, my heart, my soul."~T.
She looks at me with tears in her eyes. "Oh my god," she sobs. "Tim. This is beautiful thank you so much." I put the necklace on her. "Want to skip breakfast?" She mutters.
I laugh and kiss her head. "No. I'm hungry." I say. "Plus you're gonna need that fuel for later."

  We go to work and were immediately pulled into a big meeting in the Roll Call Room. There's a widespread blackout due to the intense heat in LA right now. Lucy can't stop looking back to stare at me. We go to work on patrol. Works long and gruesome but it's worth it.

  After work, I drive to Nolan's because he's the only one with power. Lucy's already there. I walk into Nolan's and sit down on the couch. Lucy's in a chair across from the couch and we're just starting at each other. Unknowing to either of us, Lopez catches the staring. "Oh my god," she shouts, jumping up from her spot on the couch. "You two are dating !"
   We snap out of the staring and I start stuttering. "What-. I don't- I don't know what you're talking about Angela." I say.
   "Oh yea you're totally together." Nyla says.
    Lucy blushes. I soon follow behind with the blushing.
   I sigh. "Yea fine," I huff. "We're together. Have been for a few weeks now. That's why I'm in metro now not patrol. I had to leave her direct chain of command."
   The room fills up with cheers and congrats and Bailey moves to the chair and they're all pushing Lucy next to me.  "Happy now guys," I laugh.
  Everyone starts giggling and talking to each other. Lucy holds my hand and lays her head on my shoulder. We all end up falling asleep in different parts of the house. Nyla and James in the living room, Bailey and John left, Lopez, Wesley and little jack in Nolan's room and me and Lucy in the guest room.
   God I'm actually so glad that the secrets out. I was so excited to tell everyone. Especially Lopez. She's always been my best friend.
