Twisted Love | Chapter Six | { Kingdom Keepers }

"It's a charm bracelet." I smiled at my friend who sat across from me. "Wherever you go, you can buy a charm. I have another one just like it, so it could be a symbol of our friendship." I helped her put it on.

"Oh, Elaine..." Willa smiled. "It's so beautiful." They gave each other hugs, then the two walked down the hallway with each other.

Willa walked to her car. She wore a light grey shirt with dark jeans that stopped at her ankle. He earrings were plain circles with silver and gold. She looked down at her charm bracelet Elaine had got her. Willa decided to wear it. She thought about the day Elaine gave it to her. Isabella simply pushed it away and got in her car. It was four in the morning and it was her first day of work. Her new job. It was about forty five minutes from where she lived and had to be there at eight. She wanted to go eat first. Willa had invited Luke, and she was on her way to pick him up. Philby and her hadn't spoke after she told him she might move. Which now wasn't a possibility since she got a new job. She simply ignored him. She finally arrived at Luke's house. He looked tired. I laughed.

"You look like a zombie." I put my hands up to my mouth, covering my laugh. "It's hilarious." We both looked at each other and smiled.
"Let's go." He smiled. I started the car back up and we were off.

"Isn't it so beautiful?" Willa gazed at her charm bracelet her best friend in the whole entire world gave her.
"Willa, it's gorgeous." Her mom picked it up, examining it. "Hey, hey, hey," She put it back down, walking over to Willa's brother Zach. "Zachary Angelo, what did I tell you about climbing on the furniture?" She scolded.
"It's just the couch. And I'm standing on it." He was being smart. For this he was sent to his room.
"I'm going to write it in our best friends book." Willa smiled big, pulling out a journal decorated.
"Your what?" Her mom had never seen it before. She slammed a dish rag down on the counter and walked over to Willa and her journal.
"Elaine and I have one." She narrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head. She opened the book up. "We keep track of what we do together and what we get for Christmas, Birthday's and all that." My mom smiled and went back to cleaning. It's been two years since Elaine and I met. We met in first grade and we were now in second.

Willa couldn't help but lightly blush and smile as Luke sat closely to her on the Starbucks couch. He scooted closer to her and folded his hands. They were talking about stuff she couldn't believe she told him. But, hiding her smile, she started to realize she had a stronger feeling about him. But he loved Philby so much. She couldn't choose.

"Philby..." Luke says. Willa snapped out of her thoughts and immediately looked at Luke.
"What...?" She laughed... nervously. He was reading her mind, her thoughts, her feelings. Luke does a head nod towards the Starbucks entrance. Willa looked back to see it. It was, indeed Philby. He was walking in the entrance while reading a book. It looked like a chemistry book, but I wasn't sure. If it was, it was my favorite subject. Willa smiled and waved, hoping that he would see her. But he was glued to that book..

'That's weird.' My thoughts started racing. 'Philby always looks up from a book when he enters a place. So why not here, why not now? Did he see me and was mad?'

She watched as he sat down at a table closest to the little virtual fireplace. Did he notice me or not? No, probably not.

"Hey." Luke tapped her on the shoulder. "Are you alright?" He asked curious. It caused me to look at him.

'No.' I had to be honest, but instead I found different words coming out of my mouth.
"Here," I grabbed my purse grabbing a five dollar bill out. "Can you please go get me a Raspberry Iced tea?" I smiled handing him the money. He smiled and took it.
"Of course."
