The next few days were wonderfully hectic.
I began my shiny brand new job at SKZ Florists, which, when I told Daeho, he was... okay with.
I had expected him to be a little happier for me, but then again, it was usual for him to be a little more emotionless than others. He did say 'Congrats' and give me hug, however, and I was more than satisfied with that.
Even though I had only worked there for a few days, Hyunjin had already succeeded in teaching me a lot, we found out that we lived pretty close to each other with the flower shop as an in-between point, and I met my other co-workers:
Han Jisung, who was shy at first, but fun and hyper after he opened up, Lee Felix, a sweet ball of sunshine who was always ready to help you out, and Kim Seungmin, who was usually more reserved, but kept us on our toes with his never-ending antics of mischief.
But these three were only the full-time workers; Hyunjin told me that there were four others who worked part-time and on the weekends. My shifts were awkward for the first few days while they tried to find a good schedule for me, so I hadn't had a shift with the others, or a chance to meet them yet.
If Jisung's words were anything to go by, though, the other four "are as crazy as we are," he grinned, bumping my shoulder.
I sighed and shook my head with a smirk as I watched Seungmin raise the water can, tilting it until a shower of water sprinkled down onto Hyunjin's head. A small, fun-hating part of me really hoped that wasn't true as I chuckled at the scene of Hyunjin, annoyed and with sopping wet hair, chasing Seungmin into the back of the store with a small gardening shovel.
But most of me greatly anticipated meeting the others if they had this much personality.
As much as a handful as I could tell these guys would be, I knew I would love it here, and come to love all of them as close friends.
Felix sidled up to me, watching the door to the back of the store where the Tom and Jerry duo had just disappeared. He smiled and sighed. "Quite a mess, aren't they?"
I laughed. "Definitely. It's going to be interesting to work with you all, to say the least."
"We're glad to have you here," He assured me with a light chuckle. "And you'll get used to us eventually."
The whimsical tingling of the bell on the door alerted us that a customer had entered. I turned with Felix to face the door as he greeted them routinely but brightly, "Welcome to SKZ Florists'!" But I froze when I laid eyes on the person who had just stepped in.
Felix immediately stepped forward to help them, but I stayed in place as I tilted my head at the person. Noticing my hesitancy, Felix paused to glace back at me as he stood between me and the customer.
I blinked at him, and the man stared back at me, even more shocked than I was.
"...Daeho?"
