Hey everyone! I'm Laura and this is my first ever attempt of writing a story, especially on Wattpad, so please, bare with me, comment any ideas, etc, and please vote, comment and have mercy 😊 thanks xx
Edit-the photo on the side was the original title and cover but I changed it. I'm horrible at making covers though so if anyone has a really good one with my new title that would be awesome and I'd love u almost as much as Oreos! Thanks :)

"...and with the day starting at a hot 25 degrees Celsius, it's a lovely start to September..."
My alarm clock wakes me up with the local news to show me it's 5am.
Ugh, it's too early for this. Whoever invented early mornings and school should be wiped out of existence. I am So Not a morning person. It's the first day back to school, my first day of senior year. I suppose I am excited, I mean, it's my last year, I'm almost out. But with my luck, it'll be a year to remember, and not in the best way. I pull back my covers and get out of bed. When I catch sight of myself in the mirror I see that, once again, I was Not blessed with perfect morning hair. And yet I still hope. I decide to take a shower to wake up. Ten minutes later, I brush out my long, blonde hair and blow dry it, leaving it still a little bit damp so it dries in it's natural waves. I select some knee long black leggings, waist high denim shorts, a red tee with cut out shoulders that says 'California' on it in white and silver and finish my outfit with white ankle socks and my black converse. I decide to wear my signature black glasses instead of contacts, y'know the big square ones?
To complete my look I just add some cherry lipgloss, mascara and some light pink blush. I don't really wear too much makeup, I don't need to. I'm not bragging, it's just I don't need to cake myself in make-up to fit certain social standards. I don't care about how others think I should look like, how I should act like. I just get on with my life. Oh, and if anyone tries to mess with my life apart from my two best friends, Laura and Nadine. It's like we're sisters really, we've been best friends since the 7th grade.
I guess you could say I'm considered a nerd, I hear it enough anyway. But we'll get back to that.
Once I grab my bag and shove my phone, lipgloss, purse and keys in it, I go downstairs to grab some breakfast.
After some french toast&strawberries and some orange juice I thank our chef Grace and head to the garage. I hop into my white Mini Cooper convertible, go out the gates and go to school. Oh, did I mention I'm rich? Well my parents are, I don't like to talk about it much though. It's too much spotlight and people get the wrong idea.
Anyway, I pull in to the school's parking lot, find a space beside Laura's car and go inside to my locker, where I know I'll find..."SOPHIE!!" Laura and Nadine scream, right before they almost smother me in hugs.
"Laura, Nadi! I missed you guys too but I can't really breathe!" I laugh as they step back a bit, smiling sheepishly.
"Sorry," Nadine giggled, "but you practically went MIA all summer, what happened to you?"
"Well the cell tower near our hotel was down so I could barely get any signal, but I got you guys something," I said digging in my bag till I found what I was looking for, handing them their present each.
I got them these really cool hand made Spanish anklets with our names on silver leafs on them, to match the BFF necklaces Laura got us last year."Aaw Sophie, I love it!" Laura said, as we all put ours on.
"Yeah thanks S-"Nadine said when she suddenly stopped and stared at someone down the hall. It was this guy Micheal, who she's had a major crush on for the last year when he moved here. Yup, she was love struck.
Me and Laura looked at each other smiling knowingly. "So when you gonna talk to him girl?" Laura asked Nadi, snapping her out of her trance.
She blushed madly, "Wh-what? I don't know what you're t-talking about,"she said.
Aaw, it's so cute when she tries to deny it. "Fine, just keep dreaming about him silently then."I said winking at her as I grabbed my English book out I my locker, "C'mon girls, the bell's gonna go soon."BBBRRRRRIIINNNGGG
So we walked off to class. Smiling slightly, "Maybe this year won't be so bad after all," I thought. If only I knew...

So there's my first draft of my first chapter, don't hate, I know it's not that good, I'm jut gonna try to out up a few more chapters than go back and edit them later on in the book. Bare with me. So, please comment on what u thought and any ideas you might have,
Please vote and I'll update soon. Either tonight or tomorrow probs. And please please don't copy my story or characters, at least not without any permission from me. And soon most likely will probably need an editor. Thanks. So yeah, bye for now 👋😊😊
