Sighting, he leaned back, the sun still shining brightly on his face and he was forced to squirt his eyes to protect them from the bright planet. It was no longer a myth that life existed on other planets. However, communication with the so-called "aliens" was still not perfectly worked out. Yunho gazed into the sky, a feeling of warmth, something that could not be put into words, overwhelmed him. He himself worked as a commander for communication sciences at the Seoul Aeronautics and Space Administration, or SASA for short. The Asian counterpart of NASA.
He and his team were these people who had been researching better communication with the species from the universe for years. However, this research did not go very well and they were really stuck. There were communications but they were very sporadic and it was mainly due to the language barrier. Of course, each species had its own language and it took months to get an accurate translation. SASA had the financial means to build a device that could easily translate languages of all kinds, but the fear that it could be used against the human population was far too great.
Slowly, Yunho sat up. He could not lie lazily on his skin all day, that was not his way. Quickly he packed his jogging shoes and left his small four room flat. Jogging usually cleared his head when it was full of unknottable thoughts again.
As usual, Yunho jogged his route through Yongsan Park. Actually, there was nothing special about it. The park was also well stocked on a sunny day like today. So the young man jogged past families picnicking on the grass, mothers feeding their children, fathers playing with their sons and daughters, couples enjoying the scenery close together or talking energetically on one of the many park benches. Yunho briefly considered whether he should contact his father again, after all, he hadn't seen him for a while and he knew his old man would be pleased. Lost in thought, Yunho did not notice that his surroundings changed slightly.
The leaves, which were actually very green and moved gently back and forth in the breeze, were now a slightly misty blue. It took Yunho a while to realize this. So he stopped and looked around. It seemed to him that the present stopped for a small second. Whether it was his imagination or he really heard a voice calling his name, he could not say. He was not even able to look for the voice, because it only took the blink of an eye and everything was the same as before. Confused by what had just happened, he looked around. Was he the only one who noticed what had just happened? His attempt to interpret the faces of the other park visitors failed, no one but him seemed surprised. Yunho decided to break off his run. He now had something he wanted to get to the bottom of.
"And you're sure you didn't just imagine it?" Mingi, his best friend since kindergarten, looked at him cautiously. Of course, Yunho had called him as soon as he got home to tell him about what had happened in the park. With a raised eyebrow, he nodded.
"I'm very sure of it." Again and again that voice echoed in his head.
"Maybe someone else there was called Yunho in that park and someone called him." Mingi tried to analyze the matter plausibly.
"No, the voice... it sounded like it was speaking directly to me."
