I couldn't have been more irritable while he dragged me into the hallway. Not only had my attempts at starting a revolt using the kindergarteners failed, but now I was going to be scolded. And by none other than Benjamin Jollyranck. His last name isn't Jolly Ranch, but it's close enough, and I can't be bothered to properly remember everyone's last name. He's one of the school nerds, the kind of kid who spends more than six hours a day in the library studying for exams that aren't even happening this year. He's a total nerd, but unlike the majority of nerds I ignore, he's one of those aggressive nerds who would chase you around with textbooks trying to force you to learn, excusing their behavior as trying to improve the school's general GPA. Because, apparently, the less intelligent were ruining the school's reputation. I couldn't care less about the school's reputation, but apparently, it's the center of his world. He spends every waking hour competing to remain the school's top student. He gets straight A's in everything, he's the leader of the football team, and he even participates in community service. He's become the epitome of success and popularity in this school, much to my dismay. He's even dubbed the overseer of detention. Like, seriously, get a life.
One that dosint make mine harder.
"Christeena, are you completely clueless? What possessed you to disrupt the kindergarteners like that? It's beyond irresponsible and utterly disgraceful." He says his black eyes looking directly into mine, and his hands expressing his surpressed anger in short and quick movments.
I stare at him back, not escapign eye contact with merciless, mocking eyes. Not caring the slightes for what eer me had to say
He narrows his eyes "This is not a joke, Christeena. Your behavior is unacceptable and sets a terrible example for these impressionable kids."
I role my eyes not caring that he saw me do so, Brakeing eye contact, As he cntnues his complants I instead of lisening i am scanning the room for another source of entertainment. His words start to grate on my nerves as I grow tired of his nonsensical scolding.
I let out an exasperated sigh, my patience wearing thin as his lecture continue
He sighed, noticing that I was no longer listening to him, now willing to change the subject.
¨I will be tutoring you¨. Be pronounses this as a statment rather then a question.
¨What,¨ A say at the random clame
"I will be tutoring you," he repeated, enforceing his clame. efusing to take it back or put it up for debaite.
"No, I don't want you to tutor me." I say in utter confusin and shock, I dont need anexplanation for why he wants me to be his tutor I simly know that I have no intention of accsepting that. admit that I do need a tutor and had intended to find one; I had simply been too lazy to actually follow through. But I still dont want him to tutor me. He was impatient and rude. Our personalities would clash completely, and I would never truly achieve anything due to his perfectionism.
"It's not a matter of whether you want to or not. You clearly need help," he asserted.
"I'm fine," I insisted harshly, not wanting him to get involved in my life.
"You're failing nearly every subject. You're the only one in the entire school who managed to fail PE," he pointed out.
His gaze bore into me, unwavering and stern, leaving me feeling exposed and vulnerable
"And that's nothing to be proud of," he concluded harshly. His expression hardened, disappointment etched on his features.
Stood there and stared at him not verbally agreeing with him, and not revealing my intentions to simply not go to any tutoring sesion he arranges
