( God it has been a few months or so since I wrote. I'm writing the first page for the au but I get stuck because I don't want it to seem like it's being rushed to the lore parts or be too boring and DELAY the lore parts so yeah i'm struggling with that..Anywho, this is kinda Peter x Steven-ish, like they may have slight shippy like interactions though I don't write ship stories like that )

Steven observed as Dave and Dee were arguing and Jack was trying to calm them down. It was mainly Dee who was scolding Dave with a burning passion for scaring her while she was walking through the hallway while Dave sat there and tried to reassure her it was just a joke. "It wasn't a funny joke Dave, how do you expect for one of your past murder victims to react to seeing their killer just pop out of nowhere and scare them?!" Dave nods his head, slowly backing away as Dee floats closer to him. "Listen, Dee, I understand. Now that we know what's been happening I at least expected for us to somewhat be on...Cool...Terms...?"

"So you just expected i'd be cool with you like it's all sunshine and rainbow-" Jack gets in between the both of them with an annoyed expression on his face, the three of them stay quiet before Jack speaks, sounding like he was groaning or dragging his words with each sentence he let out. "Look Dee, I understand you can't forgive Dave for what he's done, hell you really shouldn't...But can you at least somewhat be on  just fine conditions with him...? As for you Dave, don't go scaring Dee, she isn't gonna respond the same way I respond to your tricks, do both of you understand...?"

Dee silently nods while giving Dave a mean side eye, Dave equally nods with a happy look. "Okay then old sport, I'll try not to pull any more tricks on her." Jack sighs before walking towards Steven. "I'll be heading out for a bit, maybe just to go on a walk around the city or get something...You wanna come or are you okay being by yourself?" Steven's phone head began letting out a low ringing sound as he thought about it, his phone head letting out a higher pitched ring once he made up his mind. "I'll be okay here...If you can just get some food for us to eat while you're away...I don't care what the food is or who picks it." Dee floats over towards the two of them with big eyes.

"Can I come too, Jack..?"  "Of course you can come along." Dee smiles and silently cheers, but her happiness is short lived once Dave speaks up. "I'll be following along too, been a while since I headed out and it can get pretty bad on the mind, Peter is a prime example of that...Bet he's still upstairs cramped in his old room..." Steven's heart slightly drops at the mention of Peter...FUCK...of course HE was here and not out somewhere else...Hopefully Peter will just agree and he'll have the house to himself...It was already weird enough he was at his employee's house...

Dave heads upstairs for a bit before coming back down, snickering to himself as the sound of Peter's loud groan could be heard. "Looks like he's not coming, good luck dealin' with that, phone head." Dave quickly rushed out and slammed the door before Steven could yell anything at him, Peter storming down the stairs and quickly opening the door to yell out at Jack and Dee. "DON'T BRING HIM BACK WHILE YOU TWO ARE GONE.." Peter slams the door afterwards, making Steven jump and let out a slight yelp. Peter turns to the source of the noise and his "Eye" squints at the sight of Steven. "You decided to stay...?"

Steven only nods once, staring at Peter as the room was now filled with silence. Peter takes two steps towards his direction, his face being mixed with different emotions before he sighs. "Probably better than Dave staying, at least you won't do much..." After murmuring the words, Peter slowly walks past Steven towards the kitchen and turning on the kettle. Instead of heading upstairs so he wouldn't be in the room next to Steven he only leaned against the counter while making direct eye contact with him.
