Two Kingdoms, torn apart from one,
No one ever explains it when you are young,
Wondering why you must fight for your end,
When all you ever wanted was to gain back a friend,
'You're the prince of this kingdom, it is your honour and your joy!'
At the end of it all, he is still just a boy,
A boy longing hard for the truth of his dreams,
A boy who just longs for both nations to be free,
'Fear not, my friends, for we rise and we fall,
I just can't help but worry for him from the other side of that wall.'Prince Tsukasa Tenma had always been very proud to serve his own kingdom. He was adored and admired by his people, and he got the honour to protect them not only as their prince, but as the head of their knights' force. He brought light to his kingdom, as if he was a radiant star that could never burn itself out, which is why he was often noted as the "radiant prince of the light" by many people in his kingdom and abroad. He often presented himself more as a friend rather than a higher class, he had made many friends and was grateful for every opportunity that they had given him as their prince, so felt as though it was only right that they can refer to him as such. Although no one ever really did this, it was still an appreciated gesture, showing his knights and the people of his family's kingdom that although he was their prince, he was grateful for every opportunity, even if it was simply greeting him if you saw him in the towns area, and it showed his humbleness, that he saw him and his people as equals, despite their status, race or gender. He was truly an admirable being, and someone who was very inspirational and influential on those around him, bringing happiness to even the saddest and loneliest of people.
The other side of the border, however, was the polar opposite of that of the prince of light. The prince despised his role, constantly wanting to run away from his responsibilities to live a life with no restraints but knew the consequences that would occur if he tried to do as such, and so decided to suck it up and drowned himself in the darkness of his own kingdom and began to accept his role as its ruler. He was feared by most of his kingdom's residents, and cared not for in-formalities from those who he did not share an original bond with. His name was never spoken out loud, as if he was the devil himself that would kill any soul who even breathed the same air as him. Hearing about Prince Tsukasa and his attitude towards being inspirational and a friend to all made him feel sick, always having learned that to rule a kingdom is to hold control, not sympathy. Despite all of this, there are a few people who the mysterious prince trusts to truly be a better form of "himself" around.
Not only did the two princes set their kingdoms apart, but its landscape also contributed to the divide. The Kingdom of Luminaria, of which Tsukasa was the prince of, was as any kingdom was depicted as, clean, bright, and a fantasising place to live in. The land gleamed of elegance, nothing but pure perfection, a practice that had been set in place since the foundation of the Kingdom hundreds of years before then. Each resident showed pride in their home, and showed the utmost loyalty and kindness to their monarchs. Each pathway was adorned with colourful flowers and each building was unique and stood out against the ones around it, giving each a sense of originality and belonging in its area. As its name suggests, the Kingdom of Luminaria is named after the light that shined down on its land and the warmth and welcome that is brought with it.
The Kingdom of Obscuria, however, was again the opposite. Its landscape consisted of woodland, an unwelcoming state, its eerie, unrecognisable trails intended to turn away the faint of heart, as only those who had the heart to serve their land and their ruler were wanted. The overcast of large variations of trees scattered through a seemingly never-ending woodland make the kingdom appear unnaturally dark, leaving those who dared travel through the land cautious of each action they committed, every step that they took, awaiting an unexpected ambush from every shadow caused by a branch and every snap of a twig beneath their foot. Navigating through the forest was near to impossible, each town hidden and away from the main paths and borders. Its people were cold and obedient, each town in the Kingdom kept to themselves and very rarely crossed each other except for trade and large gatherings, which in itself was a rare occasion. The Kingdom of Obscuria was cold and undefinable, with a similar sense of 'what happens in Obscuria stays in Obsucia.'
