I sit my phone of the dresser while talking to Mikael on speaker.
Mikael: Was my niece excited for her first day of 1st grade!?
Jace: Was she!?
I say offended.
Jace: She practically ran out the car before I could stop the damn car..who knew living with me could be so hard.
I scoff.
Mikael: Jay shutuppp. Kailee being excited about school has nothing to do with you as a mother..if anything it shows you a good one.
Mikael laughs.
Jace: What the Fuck is funny?
I laugh too.
Mikael: I never thought you'd be one of those mommas all over protective & jealous.
Jace: I'm nnnooott. It's just... I don't know it's been just us for 5 and a half years. Now she's off to 1st grade, then prom, next thing you know she'll be walkin down the aisle.
Mikael: Woah Woah calm yo black ass down it'll be a long time till then...send me her first day of school pictures I know you took one.
I roll my eyes throwing Kailees last toy in her toy box. I pick up my phone and send Mikael her first day picture.
Mikael: Aaaahhh! Look at ma baby! Damn she startin to look more and more like East.
Jace: Yea with the same thick ass eyebrows.
I smile down at the picture.
