Moon Rising : The Lost Heroes

PROLOGUE

Many millions of years ago, even before the era of humans, there was an ancient island located in the Pacific Ocean. It was a very beautiful land, full of greenery. The blue sky, the blooming flowers, the green land and the bright sunlight of the sun god gave an eccentric vision to this place. But something strange....... The inhabitants were humans...

The people of this island were really calm and happy, they were the so called happy go lucky people, they used to start their day with a smile and were really friendly to each other. They had immense faith towards the nature and used to constantly worship them. But, these people were immortal.

Though they used to worship all the nature spirits, the sun god Solrock was their main deity and in return he granted them all with a boon of immortality.

" I, to all the inhabitants of this island, grant immortality as a gift for the incompatible faith you have shown towards me" said Solrock, as he granted the boon.

"But-" he then continued," in exchange for this boon no one shall ever question god's actions and words. And yes, you're all prohibited in eating the golden fruits from that big old tree from the god's garden, if did so, you all will gain wisdom and will soon die" the sun god exclaimed.

Keeping the god's words in mind, no one dared doing a sin against the Solrock. But one day, when humanity had to make a crucial decision in choosing between wisdom and life.......

Young Paul was really hungry, there were no shops nearby. No one was around him and he felt really hungry. Only the big old tree with golden fruits......

" Should I eat these fruits? Solrock said that we shouldn't, but I am too hungry!" Paul said to himself

He then started moving towards the tree. He started eating those berries.

"Hmmm, these berries are really delicious, why did the god even want us not to eat these fruits? Why did he want us not gain knowledge and blindly obey his words?"

With this humanity started questioning.

As he ate the fruits, he realised something.....

" Oh no! What is this? I am naked?! everyone around me naked to too!",exclaimed Paul. He quickly told this to everyone.

Later, when once the sun god came to visit them, he was astonished witnessing them all with covered bodies. Every one assembled at a place.

" What are you all wearing?", he asked in surprise.

Then an old man named Lawsi spoke " lord Solrock, we just realised that we were naked and that we had to cover ourselves so made these clothes"

" But what made you all realise this fact? Did you the golden berries from the old tree?" He asked, coldly.

"Yes" they replied

"Who Promoted You To Do That! How dare you cross your limits and  disobey my orders! WHO TOLD YOU TO DO THAT!!" Solrock screamed.

" I told them to do that" spoke Paul from nowhere in the midst.

"Yes, I told them to eat the berries. And why should we not do that? This is our land, you became a god only because we worshipped you! You should be grateful to us and why the heck are we not supposed to gain knowledge?",with this, Paul made the sun god extremely angry.

Solrock, without any pity, cursed the whole island.

"The land of immortals
should soon go to sea
invisible to both land and sky
Life becomes mortal,as for
the sinners have no realm here
The blooming flowers, the
green plants,and, humanity
must die for the sin
And the land of immortals
Shall soon go to the abode of
Poseidon and this land must fade"

With this the land began to fade. People were dieing out of diseases. Even the nature spirits couldn't do anything.

" The answers to all your questions must be found by the humanity only" they say.

After doing a lot of research and studying the ancient scriptures, Lawsi found out that only Queen Diana could cure Solrock's curse.

Everyone was praying to queen Diana for the whole day, when in the evening she appeared in front of them.

"I am impressed by the great faith and belief that you have in me, I hereby grant you a wish, ask whatever you want " said Queen Diana, kindly.

Then old Lawsi spoke and recited the whole story to her, then she replied " I will not be able to cure your curse completely, but I can partially remove it"

She then continued "the land will gain it's glory and immortality back, but will definitely go to Poseidon's abode. You will live underwater."

"And–" she continues "in return I must be the chief deity in the court of heavens" she finally ended, with a strict voice.

By Queen Diana's grace, the life survived and the land was further named Dianthus, on Queen Diana's name.

But the problem wasn't resolved yet, even though the mortals had no access to to Dianthus, the immortals are still in touch with the mortal realm..... And that's where the problem begins........
