Jungkook paused as he was about to throw the scarf onto the bed after taking it off from around his neck. He stopped in his tracks, holding the scarf open before his eyes. His gaze fixed on the large tear that was clearly caused by a safety pin. Anger and sadness welled up inside him, and now he felt like crying. A strong urge to curse Taehyung arose in his mind. His thoughts were racing, but he knew that even behind closed doors, he didn't dare curse Taehyung. There were two people in this world Jungkook feared deeply. The first was Taehyung, and the second was his own brother, Yoongi.

Since childhood, Jungkook had been a victim of Taehyung's harsh behavior. Whether it was on the streets or at family gatherings, Taehyung would always reprimand him, smack him on the head, or glare at him if anything went slightly wrong. He would drag Jungkook out into the street and scold him. Sometimes, Jungkook thought of Taehyung as a madman, a complete psycho. For everyone else, Taehyung was a hero-dashing, chocolate boy, coffee, or hot drinks-but for Jungkook, he was just a psycho. Psycho Taehyung.

For three years, Taehyung hadn't visited Busan, and during that time, Jungkook's life had been colorful and peaceful. But now, with Taehyung back, all that peace would vanish, and Jungkook would spend every moment in anxiety.

Jungkook realized he would need to lie to his mother about the scarf tearing. He needed to get a new one by the end of the day, as he would never wear this torn one again. Why should he? Was there a shortage of money? He was Jung Hoseok's beloved son, after all.

Even if his mother was strict, his father pampered him the most. A sigh of frustration escaped from Jungkook's nose. He put the scarf aside and was about to head towards the bathroom when there was a knock on the door. He walked over and opened it, only to find himself going dry in the throat. He muttered in a faint voice, "Yoongi hyung?"

Yoongi nodded and stared at him with a suspicious gaze for a few moments before his face broke into a soft smile. In a calm voice, he said,

"Do I look different today? Why are you so startled?"

Jungkook, flustered, quickly replied, "Startled? No, I'm just surprised because you don't usually come to my room without a reason. Is something wrong, hyung?"

"I heard you ran away from outside my room. Why? Were you trembling?"

As the saying goes, a guilty mind is always suspicious. Jungkook felt like that too. He thought Yoongi had seen him with Taehyung and that was the reason for his brother's anger. But now it seemed there was another reason. Yoongi was sharp and intelligent, so lying to him wouldn't be easy. Taking a deep breath, Jungkook quietly answered,

"You were angry, and it scared me. That's all, hyungie. I'm telling the truth."

Yoongi took a dark chocolate bar from his pocket and handed it to Jungkook. He brought one for him every day. He also brought one for someone else, someone very special to him. Everyone in the house knew how much Jungkook loved chocolate. As Yoongi was about to leave, he paused and asked,

"Does Jimin still go to school?"

Jungkook was utterly surprised. His brother was asking about Jimin? Yoongi didn't talk to the people from Kim's Haven, nor did he go there. Nodding, Jungkook replied, "Yes."

"Does he come back with you after school?"

"Yes."

"I've heard you've been sneaking over to that house, Jungkook."

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat. His brother knew? So the saying was true: the thief has seven days, but the landlord has one. Shrinking in fear, Jungkook whispered, "I only go for Jimin."

"I understand. That's our aunt's house, but we can't go against appa's orders. Taehyung and his brother, Yeounjun, have grown more arrogant with their involvement in politics. They think they can throw their weight around anywhere. Even if you go for Jimin, keep your distance from them. Don't go too often. If appa hears about it, he'll never forgive you. And stay away from Jimin too, if you can. At this age bad company makes things mess up..."
