Marinette's POV
It was a normal day for me when I arrived at school. I walked through the halls heading towards my English class. When I entered the classroom I was greeted with a few of my friends waving at me. Ayla, Nino, and Adrien. I waved back with a smile before taking my seat. In the corner of my eyes, I noticed Nino staring at me but I brushed it off. I grabbed my notepad out of my bag and started taking down notes.
After class was over I headed over to the cafeteria to meet with everyone. We all gathered around the table before Ayla spoke up. "Hey guys, so I was thinking that we could have a little 'get together' after school since it's Friday," she said enthusiastically. "Everyone's invited of course."
Everyone cheered in agreement. After school ended Ayla shared the location of the meet-up spot and turns out it was a nightclub having a senior night. I thought it was a fun idea to go to a nightclub with everyone since graduation is approaching.
I first went home and changed into a cute dress before heading over to the nightclub. When I got there Nino was also just arriving. I smiled and waved at him and he walked over towards me. "Hey, Mari. How are you?" He asked softly. "I'm good, Nino. You alright?" I asked. He nodded before softly pulling me to the side. "Can I talk to you?" He asked. I assumed he wanted to talk about Ayla. Given that the two of them had a thing for each other. Or so I thought.
"Let's talk inside, okay?" I said before taking his hand and leading him into the nightclub. We walked hand in hand into the nightclub and for some reason, Nino leaned over and placed a kiss on my cheek. I was flattered but thought it was kind of odd. Doesn't he like Ayla? I brushed my thoughts to the side before looking around for a quiet corner to talk with Nino.
When I found a corner for us to talk, both of our eyes landed on Ayla and Adrien making out. It was clear that we were both shocked. My gaze shifted to Nino to see if he was hurt or upset but instead, he looked kind of relieved for some reason. He pulled me away and out of the nightclub. "Can we just hang out at your place, please?" he asked. I nodded and led the way back to my place.
When we arrived at my place, I noticed my parents weren't home. Good, they won't ask me any questions, I thought. I led Nino up to my room and we both took a seat on the bed. I looked over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. "Nino? Are you ok?" I asked gently. He looked over and nodded. "Are you sure? I know you have a crush on Ayla."
He lets out a chuckle before shaking his head.
"Mari, you really are oblivious," he said with a smirk. "It's you that I like." He stared deeply into my eyes. I gasped softly as a blush started to form on my cheeks. He leaned in pressing his lips softly against mines before pulling away. "I'm sorry, was that too far?" He asked. I could hear a hint of vulnerability in his voice. I shook my head before wrapping my arms around his neck and leaning in to kiss him passionately.
I felt his hands travel up and rest on my waist as he pulled me closer. We continued to kiss for a bit longer but eventually, I broke the kiss off first breathing heavily. I looked into his eyes and they were filled with desire. "Hey, Mari?" he said, his voice slightly rough from the kissing. "Yes?" I asked. His hands inched slightly lower. "I want you," he said not breaking eye contact. At that moment I knew this was the start of something that would either go well or turn into something much bigger.
