As Seraphina finished braiding her hair in an abandoned house, she suddenly heard a robot moving around. She sighed deeply upon realizing she would have to flee again. Luckily, she had just braided her coily hair beautifully, sparing her the worry of dealing with knots for the next three months.

She gathered as many valuables as possible but ensured her backpack wasn't too heavy, allowing her to escape swiftly from the robots. Exiting through a window unnoticed, she fled.

If she possessed superpowers, she would have attacked the robot immediately, but alas, she believed she had none yet, holding onto hope despite enduring this ordeal for five years, nearly reaching 17.

Finding a hiding spot, she couldn't shake the thought of enduring this since she was 11. Instead of enjoying high school life, she found herself continuously on the run from the president's robots. Nobody understood his motives, but everyone knew he lived luxuriously with his family.

Lost in contemplation, Seraphina suddenly heard the robots again. Rising from her hiding spot, she resumed running, uncertain of her destination.

As she continued running, she noticed that she was in another city. Exhausted, she walked to a nearby supermarket that was not far from her sight. It may have sounded stupid to go to a supermarket, but she needed food and sanitary products. Yes, it was that time of the month. She sighed as she plopped down next to the honey section.

Seraphina pov

I sat down next to the honey section, as almost everything else was expired. However, I had to get something as my cramps were unbearable, and they were super painful. I was about to eat honey candies when suddenly I heard someone.

Groaning, as I really just wanted to eat and not run away, I decided to hide. But suddenly, I didn't hear anything anymore. I hoped the person had just left, but I was wrong; I heard the footsteps getting closer. I just hoped the person wouldn't hurt me. I tried to hold my breath so the person wouldn't find me, but it was too late-the person was in front of me.

It was a fairly tall and handsome young man with black hair and brown eyes. Just like mine, his clothes were half-torn; probably, he also was one of the children who fled. He looked at me in a questionable way and was already ready to use his superpowers. He was surprised that I didn't attack, and he asked, "Why don't you attack me? You heard me first. Why did you run away?"

To which I replied, "Um, this is embarrassing... I don't have one." The young man got down on his knees and asked me, "How can I believe such bullshit, huh?" He had absolutely no emotion on his face, and he was very cold and direct. I answered his question with, "Otherwise, I would have attacked you already." Suddenly, he started laughing. Then I realized he was laughing at me. I looked at him with disgust and said, "Uhm, excuse me, I was able to survive for 5 years WITHOUT superpowers, huh!" He stopped laughing and said, "Sorry, Your Majesty." His cold look was back, and it gave me chills.

Suddenly, he held his hand over my mouth and whispered, "Sssh, the robots are back; we have to get out of here." Suddenly, my stomach growled since I still hadn't eaten anything. But it got the attention of the robots. I cursed at my stupid stomach that had to go off right now.

I just decided to run, and the young man followed. He was much faster than me, and I fell over a brick. I thought the young man was going to help, but I was very wrong; he just kept running without turning back. I tried to stand up and run further, but my foot hurt too much. The robot came closer to me and aimed at me, ready to shoot.

Just as he was about to shoot me, i noticed that smoke started coming out of the robot; he was electrocuted. The robot fell to the ground, and when I turned around, I saw the young man from earlier again. I said, "Electrical superpowers? Thank you for saving me."

The young man, who still had a cold gaze, didn't look at me and said, "I believe you will need my help. The name is Hyunjin."
