Unknown Location
We see some kind of hidden underground base of sorts and unknown at the time being while hearing some mechanical and welding was at work on some kind of machine of sorts. And even hissing sounds of paint from spray paint cans were coloring something in this green color.
It was hard to tell who was at work on the machine, as we see three of them wearing thick grey suits to protect them from the sparks of the welding & painting via gas mask. One was at a good height, one was a short height, and the last one was a very large guy in body weight it seems.
However, one stands out from them and watches the work from afar while taking notes in his notebook. He was a tall young man in his late teens from the looks of it as he was covered from head to toe in black Victorian clothing. He had a tight black shirt, a black cloak covering himself that acts like a cape or jacket at times, black grey cloves, a large black hat, dress pants with matching shoes that were pointy, and this cross that was covered in red as blood in his right hand.
Finally, over his face was this silver mask that took the shape of a bird, a crow, and glowing red eyes in the color of blood that stay into the souls of those he comes across. Overall, a plague doctor of mutant kind.
This was Corvus, a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants with unique powers, and happens to be the youngest son of the said leader.
Yes, you heard right. Corvus is the son of Magneto and fourth, being close to the age of a certain green-haired mutant and second son. He was named after a crow, mainly because his mother studying birds down with a certain shapeshifter inspired the idea to name him after a crow. He didn't mind and looked back at the work that the three mutants; Avalanche, Toad, & Blob were doing their work he tasked them with.
Corvus nodded his head and wrote the notes down that the progress was coming along well. He had been working on this project for months and needed to make sure it was ready for his father to use on the first test subject soon.
The plague doctor then remembered how he ended up joining the Brotherhood fully after when people discovered he was a mutant and his mother was hiding him. That damn town didn't like mutants and common it seems. His mother had given her son instructions to find a woman named Raven, knowing she would look after him. Two blackbirds usually take care of each other, and her words play in his mind as a sort of comfort during those nights of remembering his mother's death.
Corvus was able to track Raven down to the Brotherhood and join up, ever since the said shapeshifter kept her eyes on him. She was his godmother and would make sure he was protected by his mother's wish & his father's request.
Then the heavy footsteps got Corvus's attention and the trio to see Sabertooth had returned, empty-handed it seems.
"Weren't you supposed to bring someone back with you?" Toad joked as he kept painting the machine and jabbed at the lioness.
Sabertooth growled in response and showed her fangs at the smelly mutant who smirked in response. There's no fighting in the Brotherhood but sparing happens.
"Careful, Toad," Blob advised as he lifted a heavy part of the machine and plugged it in at the doctor's request.
Avalanche shook his head and remained quiet as he did his welding some steel together to clean up when the metal was cooled down.
"Be nice, everyone. Toad, do another code of paint. Blob, that's good work, for the time being, you can have your snack break. Avalanche, I need those cables separate to avoid any bad feedback for the testing. Too much output, we could be looking at a bomb," Corvus ordered, getting Avalanche to carefully separate the cables and Toad slowly backed away from those cables.
"Sounds good to me," Blob smirked as he removed the gas mask and walked back to his quarters to get changed to later have his good cake for his snack break.
Corvus closed his notebook and looked at Sabertooth, having his attention on her, and was the commander when both Magneto & Mystique won't around.
"What happened?" Corvus asked.
"They knew," Sabertooth simply replied, crossing her arms and having healed fast from her fight with Revan while getting new clothes to replace the ruined ones.
Corvus hummed in thought and it seemed the professor had located the mutant faster than he thought. He should have expected that from what his father had told him and made a risky first move in the chess game. Then he would hold off and wait for his father to return to make the next move.
"Where's Rogue now?" Corvus asked, curious, and had known of the southern mutant from his godmother.
"The lost pup is with them now and that's not all," Sabertooth replied.
"Oh?" Corvus was curious and his attention was on the blonde-haired lioness.
"Let's just say, an old friend of mine has returned and has some memory damage it seems. I know it was him, his scent never changed despite the experiments...and he still keeps those dog tags. The same desgin as the one I have," Sabertooth informed, showing her dog tags that had Sabertooth in crave in them & numbers.
This surprised Corvus and would admit it was an interesting discovery. Both Victoria and Raven had told him about the Weapon X program & the experiments they do on mutants. Now another one from that program was up and about to have no memories? He wonders why and seems interested.
"I see, interesting. The first move has been made, now we will wait until Magneto & Mystique returns before making the next move. Now, it's the X-Men's turn for their move," Corvus explained, being the orders to sit and wait for the time being while he explained himself to his father on the mission to capture Rogue was rushed so suddenly.
In every game of chess, it's not over until the king is taken and every move has to take careful steps towards victory.
"Sure, sure," Sabertooth commented, uncrossing her arms and checking her claws out while smirking as she looked forward to the next meeting with Revan.
Victoria also plans to tell Raven about this discovery and how Revan has no memories of his past down with time in Weapon X's program. It would be interesting to talk and have future meetings with the clawed mutant down the line.
Corvus cupped his masked chin in thought and thought over the fails that the mutant trigger machine has. If it works, the machine can turn humans into mutants by targeting the small X-Gens in the DNA and awakening before changing them into mutants like the ones they judge. Their fates would be the same as the ones they judge and the UN world summit would be a great time to use the machine on world leaders.
"We just need a test subject. I can figure out more of the pros and cons of the machine's effects on the said test subject's results. The common ones would have to be cells being destroyed which I can stable and so on that pops up. Father should have a perfect first test subject in mind and I have a pretty good idea of who he'll pick for that trial run," Corvus thought as he walked down the hallways of the hidden lair and thought about more the plans down to the grand scale of using the mutant trigger machine on the world summit was the best call.
Indeed, the Brotherhood had made the first move and X-Men were next but won't know of the grand plans taking place right underneath their noses. All the pieces will come together and this plague doctor will make sure his father's plans on competed.
