Chapter 3: The Dance Magic Mix-Up

(Wanderlust and Jack learn how to walk in each other's shoes. Meanwhile, Night Swan sends her minions to spy on the avatars)

Outside the newly renovated building in Dancity, Wanderlust held up giant pairs of scissors in front of a bright red ribbon with Jack Rose on the other side and the owner Scarlet Gold in the middle.

A week ago, Scarlet Gold needed help with renovating a demolished building near the Main Drag Northside--Jack Rose decided to help her with the process, and they were now ready to share with everyone their latest creation--Scarlet's Palace. Among the crowd, Sara, Brezziana, Mihaly, and a few drag and non-drag dancers were also there supporting Scarlet and the grand opening of her new extravagant building. 

"Thank you for coming everyone," Wanderlust spoke to the audience, "Before we open up the newly renovated building, I want to pass the mic over to the dazzling woman herself, Scarlet Gold."

Everyone cheered as Scarlet walked up to begin her speech--"Hello my fabulous darlings of Dancity. As the prince said, I thank you all for coming to Scarlet's Palace. This building is a place to express yourself by showing off your best extravagant performance through art, music, talent---just express yourself by any means possible."

Everyone felt moved by Scarlet's words of expression. Its important to express yourself through what they loved doing the most.

"--and with all my heart, I want to thank my biggest supporter for helping me put all my dreams and visions toward this project--Jack Rose."

The crowd cheered as the pop star walked proudly--"As Scarlet said, I am proud to help put this project to good use---"

"Can we put on dinner theaters and plays?" One dancer asked.

"Of course!" Jack boasted, "I mean, why else would I help Scarlet build that place in the first place."

"And what about musicals?"

"I want to put on a puppet show!"

"And we can host parties!"

Wanderlust stepped in to control the crowd, "Alright, calm down everyone. What Jack is trying to say is that everyone is free to put on any show they desire. And, everyone should have open-minded ideas when coming to Scarlet's Palace--express themselves with music, performance, and accepting yourself."

Everyone applauded at the prince's speech, however, Jack grumbled at his friend for stealing the spotlight from him. It was his moment, he was the one who helped Scarlet put this project together he thought. But the pop star accidentally leaned on the lever for the confetti cannon that shot confetti to which the prince cut the ribbon too early.

As all of the avatars raced into the entrance at once, they were crowding the whole space between them and the entrance. Wanderlust went between the crowd and grabbed Jack and Scarlet before they got hurt. 

"Everyone, move out of the way! There's enough room for everybody!" Wanderlust yelled from the stands. 

However, Discoball was also there, in the middle of the crowd, and one of the dancers accidentally kicked her out of the crowd, which sent her flying in the air. Sara saw Discoball flying out of control. 

"I got ya! I got ya!" She called out ready to catch her spherical friend. But she missed as Discoball landed in a can tub full of pink paint. Discoball poked her head out as she was now covered in pink paint. Sara laughed at this before wiping her friend off of the messy paint.

 Wanderlust sighed at the chaos. "I am good at dedication speeches, maybe too good."
