The rain poured down in floods, drenching the streets of the city in a sheet of sorrow.

It was on a dark night like this that Mina's life took a fateful turn, sealing her fate in the clutches of the mafia.

Alone and vulnerable, Mina wandered the rain-soaked streets, her tiny frame shivering with cold and fear.

The echoes of her parents' abandonment still rang in her ears, a cruel reminder of the betrayal that had shattered her world, nobody and nothing could be trusted.

As she huddled beneath the flickering glow of a street lamp, a shadowy figure emerged from the darkness, their footsteps muffled by the sound of raindrops pounding against the pavement.

Mina's heart leaped into her throat as she instinctively recoiled, her gaze fixed on the stranger's imposing silhouette.

—"Hey, kid, what are you doing out here all alone?"

the stranger asked, their voice tinged with a mixture of concern and suspicion. Mina hesitated for a moment, torn between the instinct to flee and the desperate need for companionship.

—"I-I'm lost,"

she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. The stranger studied her for a moment, their gaze penetrating through the layers of dirt and despair that clung to her like a second skin.

—"Come with me,"

the stranger said, extending a hand towards her.

—"I'll take care of you."

With no other options available to her and desperate for shelter, Mina reluctantly accepted the stranger's offer, her heart heavy with a sense of fear.

She followed them through the labyrinthine streets of the city, her footsteps echoing in the empty alleyways like a wail for lost innocence.

Eventually, they arrived at a nondescript building nestled amidst the towering skyscrapers of the city's skyline.

The stranger led Mina inside, where she was greeted by a motley crew of men and women whose faces bore the mark of hardship and suffering.

—"This is your new home now,"

the stranger said, their voice devoid of emotion.

—"You'll do as you're told, and you'll never ask questions. Understand?"

Mina nodded numbly, her eyes wide with fear as she realized the gravity of her situation.

She had entered a world of darkness and depravity, where innocence was a luxury she could ill afford.
