Luna
After a few hours of sleep, her eyes are heavy, and exhaustion consumes her. As she lies there and slowly opens her eyes, she watches the birds fly by the window and chirp. Sensing Geo isn't in her space, she puts her hand under the couch and feels for the journal.
Feeling that it's there, she gets up, walks into the kitchen, and turns on the coffee pot. As it brews, she walks to the kitchen counter, leans on it, and hears the bed creak upstairs. Within moments, his feet creak the floorboards, and she hears him walking around, and then down the stairs
He walks into the kitchen, goes over to the cupboards, and grabs a coffee mug. Setting it on the counter, he walks to Luna and gives her a kiss on the lips. As she kisses back, she turns around and grabs a coffee mug from the strainer. Sensing him holding something back, his energy hits her back, and she squints her eyes.
"Are you going to say good morning?" she asks as she turns around and looks at him.
"Yeah! Of course! I'm waking up. I need my coffee first," he says as he pours his coffee. Adding sugar and creamer, he looks at her and says, "How did you sleep? I heard you moving around in the middle of the night. What were you doing?"
"I couldn't sleep," she says, as she takes a sip of her coffee, and watches him lean on the kitchen counter. With him swirling his coffee, he takes a drink, and she says, "I ended up going outside for a bit."
"You should have come up to bed then," he says as he walks into the living room and turns on the television. Listening to him sit down on the couch, she walks to the living room and sits on the couch next to him.
"I'm going to change the channel. Do you mind?" she says, as she sets her coffee on the coffee table, and grabs the remote from his hands.
"No! Not at all."
"What are you doing today?" she asks as she surfs the channel.
"Nothing much," he says as he puts his head on her lap and lies down, and she puts the remote on the coffee table.
"Don't get too comfortable. I'm going to work in a little bit," she says, rubbing her fingers through his hair.
"You are? I thought you had today off?" he asks as he puts his hand around her waist and snuggles his head into her lap. Squeezing her tight, he asks, "How much time do you have?"
"Just a couple of minutes. I'm working the morning shift," she says, rubbing her fingers through his hair.
Sitting there watching television, she closes her eyes, and he looks at her, and asks, "Hey! Are you sleeping?"
"No! I dozed off for a couple of minutes!" she says as she opens her eyes and looks at the clock. Moving from underneath him, she stands up and stretches. She then leans over, gives him a kiss, and says, "I'll be home in a few hours."
