Clashes of blades echoed throughout a singular building as two people battled it out inside of it.

A set of (E/c) eyes darted across the training field as the person who owned them swung their weapon up at an angle which caused the opponent to block and jump backward to get some distance between the two of them.

The sound of a beep went off which caused the two to stop fighting.

A heavy sigh of relief escaped the (E/c)-eyed figure's lips, a single (S/c) hand running through strands of (H/c) so that they could be pushed backward.

The figure that stood across stared at their opponent before laughing softly and patting the (H/c)-haired figure's back.

"You're doing amazing like usual, (Y/n)."

(Y/n) rolled his eyes in response before glancing over at a nearby clock that was on the wall.

"I should get going," he muttered as he turned away and started to walk off.

"Oh, right. You have a mission in Penacony, right? Have fun!" (Y/n)'s opponent says, waving to the male that they had just finished training with.

(Y/n) raised a single hand and gave the other person a wave even though he still had his back facing him.

'Penacony, huh?' He thought before giving a small head shake. 'I'll worry about it later. Right now, it's best if I get my things together before I head off.' (Y/n) told himself as he turned down a corridor and disappeared.

(Y/n) ran his fingers down a bookshelf as he came to a stop before a window that was inside his room, showing the outside to him.

A small frown tugged at his lips as he turned his attention elsewhere.

"If I'm correct... My mission is nothing but to find out about the Bloodhound family's secret," he muttered to himself as he grabbed a traveling case from underneath his bed and placed it on top of it.

A grumble then left the male's lips as he finally started packing the necessary necessities he would be needing for the mission.

"And on a day off, too..." A soured look appeared on (Y/n)'s face when he realized that he was being sent on a mission during one of his days off.

"Right... Right... It's best to stop complaining and get this stuff done. Then I can complain."

Another sigh left the (H/c)-haired male's lips, his shoulders drooping.

Without another word of complaint from him, the male just turned his attention to packing so that his mind could drift to something else.

Topaz and her companion, Numby, watched as a familiar (H/c)-haired IPC came walking up to her.

An amused smile appeared on her lips as one of her co-workers stopped before her.

"A mission on your day off, huh?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Don't remind me," (Y/n) grumbled.

Topaz playfully rolled her eyes but nodded her head, understanding that the male before her didn't want to keep that specific subject up.

"So, where is Diamond sending you off to this time?" Topaz asks.

(Y/n) crossed his arms over his chest, looking at the female who stood across from him.

"He's sending me to Penacony to find out more about the Bloodhound family," (Y/n) answered.

Topaz hummed lightly before realizing something. "Then you'll probably be sending Aventurine there," she replied.

"Seriously? Please tell me you're joking," (Y/n) says, hoping that Topaz's words were nothing but a ruse.

"Sadly, I'm not. I think Diamond is having you teamed up with him," Topaz apologized.

"This day just keeps getting worse and worse," (Y/n) complained.

Topaz just smiled in response, amused by her co-worker's dissatisfaction about leaving IPC on his day off, just for that information to worsen at the new information that Aventurine was also going to be there.

"Poor you," Topaz says, teasing the (H/c)-haired male.

"Mhm," (Y/n) mumbled out.

"Well, I have to get going. I'll see you when you get back," Topaz suddenly says, cutting the conversation between them short.

"Right. I'll see you when I get back," (Y/n) agreed.

Topaz sent the male a quick smile before walking off.

"C'mon Numby."

Numby raced after Topaz, doing its best to keep up with the female.

(Y/n) muttered something under his breath before deciding that it was best to leave now.

"Mission unwanted is a go."
