"This doesn't make any sense..."

Daianna Jonston stood deep in the archives of the Ninjago Museum of History, ancient scrolls spread out on the table in front of her as she stared down at her translation notes. The information laid before her, it didn't make sense.

She had decided to do a bit of research into the history of the Garmadon family on a whim, though the more she had dug, the more walls she had run into. She had barely been able to get this far with the help of her Grandfather getting access to the forbidden part of the museum along with a translation book provided by Mrs. Garmadon.

"How is there no mention of more generations? Do they just use the same names over and over for their kids?" She muttered to herself, the names 'Wu' and 'Garmadon' seemed to be spread throughout the history of Ninjago along with the guy they called 'Father' though he seemingly had no name.

The whole thing caused her head to spin and the translations of the history seemed so wonky compared to what she had been learning in school. "Could we really be this far off?"

There had to be a logical explanation, people can't live for hundreds of years...this wasn't natural. Running her hand through her hair, she couldn't help but sit down. She felt defeated, nothing made sense anymore.

According to this, it would make Reagan's father in law not just hundreds of years...but thousands of years old...he didn't look a day over sixty! What about Mrs. Garmadon? Lloyd? This wasn't adding up.

She had to go to the source... the thought of talking to the family, still sent chills down her spine. She knew that they were good people, though on top of her confusion, it was hard to shake the fear she had since she was a child.

"...maybe Reagan knows." She mumbled to herself as she began to roll the scrolls up, after all...she married into the family? She would at least have some answers...right? "Yeah, just ask Reagan."

I hadn't been expecting visitors while I stayed at the Garmadon Estate, though when Dai called and asked if she could stay overnight, I was overjoyed. I had been working to turn the connecting room to Lloyd and I's bedroom into a living room of sorts, something to give us a bit of room and make it more homey.

The monks had been so sweet and helped me move around furniture that I wasn't able to move myself and even helped with a bit of painting.

"Anything else, Mistress?" Shiki, one of the monks that had been assigned to help me, from Lloyd's personal trainees, asked as he brought in one of the boxes I had asked him to carry. Getting used to being called Mistress was a bit uncomfortable, though Ishida insisted that they needed to call me it, if Lloyd was their Master, I was their Mistress... still felt weird.

"Do we have any extra blanks and possibly some sort of mattress?" Asking for things was another thing, I still was the new person and didn't want to make them think I was taking advantage of them, though the look of pure joy on their faces scared me into asking them to do little tasks.

"On it, Mistress!" Skiki jumped up and left the room. Apparently they preferred my tasks over Lloyd's training...just what was he doing for training? I decided not to pry as I went to unpack the trinkets from the box.

We had repainted the walls a soft light green and applied varnish and treatment to the exposed wooden beams, it looked really lively and I couldn't wait to show Lloyd when he got back and Dai when she got here.

"Mistress Reagan, Ms. Johnston has arrived." Ishida called out, catching my attention as I looked to see Dai standing rather awkwardly behind the older monk. Scrambling up, I rushed to give her a big hug, nearly throwing her off balance.
