The sun dipped low on the horizon its palette of vibrant hues stretched across the sky. You become conscious and you're confused why you're floating around. You're dead of course. You're a ghost. Haunting your killer now. And this chapter is about your first day of it.

Duo had roused himself earlier than usual to do a run of errands and was now returning to his nest, his small canvas bag brimming with an assortment of wriggling worms and plump grubs freshly collected from the forest floor

As his wings sliced through the cool evening air, his sharp eyes caught a familiar silhouette with its recognisably tall whimsical hat. Why it was the phrog wizard. He lived nearby when Duo lived with his parents. What was he doing on this side of the wood?

Duo flew over to greet him. "Phrog wizard," he said, "It's been so long. What brings you to this side of the forest?"

The phrog sighed, adjusting his spectacles. "Indeed it has old friend. Sadly, my old home became uninhabitable due to human pollution.." He gestured to the boxes in a tow that Duo had just now noticed behind him. "But threat not, for I am finding a new haven amidst the trees."

Duo's heart went out to his friend, he knew that despite the frog's positive demeanour, he loved his old tranquil corner of the forest with it's soothing melodies of the babbling brook and the gentle sway of the tall trees.

As they chatted, the conversation landed on moving on from people and relationships and Duo told the wizard vaguely about the revenge he got on his ex. "Ah yes," Duo chuckled "Let's just say that person was... Properly dealt with.." He winked.

The wizard phrog however disagreed with his actions. "Surely getting revenge would make you feel worse because you're putting even more energy towards the person who hurt you. There are healthier ways to heal from to heal from being hurt, as a lover of language yourself, you could use poetry to express your anger or grief."

The concept of not obliterating his enemies with the golden sword of justice was foreign to Duo, and what the wizard was saying perplexed Duo deeply, but he kept listening despite this.

Just then a gust of wind whisked away the frog's tall wizard hat, sending it tumbling through the air. Without hesitation, the Phrog bid farewell to Duo leaving Duo to ponder his words.
