For the last few days, Percy has been trying to talk to William, but he can't, and not because William didn't let him, it was because Percy didn't have the balls to talk to him.
-Okay, it has been a week now, and you haven't said a word to him! How are you expecting him to give you his blessing? -Said Wanda sarcastically.
-A miracle? - Percy shrugged.
-You've got to be kidding...
-EXCUSE ME?
Something else caught their attention. The teacher was standing in front of them. Everyone at the class were looking at Percy and Wanda. Apparently, none of them could notice that the class had began already.
-Well, since you two like to talk so much in my class...
-Wait, please, Miss Caroline, we were talking about... uh... the science project.
-Oh, is that so? -Miss Caroline didn't believe a word from Wanda -You can talk about your project... outside my class!
-Wait!
-No. Out side. Now.
Percy and Wanda were about to leave the classroom when suddenly a student enters to the classroom.
-I'm sorry for being late! I promise it won't happen again!
-William? Since when are you a troublemaker? -Wanda exclaimed
William ignored his sister
-I'm so, so sorry, Miss Caroline, it won't happen again, I promise -William was so agitated, he looked like he just run a marathon.
-Mh... okay, I won't send you to detention.
-Wait, why?! -Percy exclaimed -Why are you letting him in and sending us to detention?
-Percy! -Wanda murmured.
-Because, young boy, because William is a good student, you are not, I know he won't do it again if he promises but... look at you!
The teacher's judgement made Percy's blood boil. But a seconds later William interrupted and said something that calmed Percy down.
-It's true, professor, I've arrived late, I should go to detention too.
-What? Don't joke like that, William...
-I can't get out of my punishment. I should be punished too.
-I won't do that.
-Then why can't we all be unpunished and keep with the class? -Wanda suggested.
-That's... fine -Miss Caroline didn't look happy with the idea, but decided to not punish either of them -But! But you... you two will be separated, I don't want talking in my class! You, Percy, go and sit with William! Let's see if you can finally learn something sitting with him! Now, you Wanda, go over there and sit with Luna.
-But...! -Percy protested against the teacher's statement.
-Now. -She ordered.
Percy imagined a 100 ways the teacher could leave his life forever as he was heading to William's seat.
They kept with the class. The teacher was showing equations to the students so they could solve them. But Percy didn't solve one of them. He had his notebook full of scratches and blots. William noticed after a while. He finished all the equations the teacher showed faster than anyone in the classroom, so he had no work to do at that moment.
-You have to symplificate it -William suggested, out of nowhere.
-What? -Percy was so focused in his equation that he could barely pay attention to his surrounding.
-Symplificate it. It will be easier for you to solve it. Without symplificating the result will be harder to get.
Percy, still not convinced about William, decides to trust him. Just in seconds he finished the equation, and it was the correct answer. Percy believed that's the highest level he could get at math. After a while, he looked at William and said:
-Thank you. -His tone became shy.
-No problem. -William didn't look at him and kept doing his equations.
Percy smiled.
